S1 Flash complained, "Not only has it been full of setbacks, it hasn't been useful in the slightest. I shouldn't have counted on you guys. Should I go ask Batman? He's a playboy."
Barry asked, "Batman is indeed a playboy, but he basically relies on throwing money around to pick up girls. Do you have money?"
S1 Flash felt his wallet and said, "I should have enough for dinner and a sandwich for breakfast tomorrow."
Barry was speechless. Spider-Man patted S1 Flash on the shoulder. Both were down-and-out in the money department; there was no need for introductions between fellow sufferers.
The kinder a superhero was, the poorer they tended to be. On one hand, if they had money, they would use it to help others. On the other, kind superheroes would not use their Superpowers to make money.
