Supergirl stared in disbelief. Was Mr. Wang really that terrifyingly calculating? Just then, Andrew suddenly smiled and said, "Just kidding. Don't leave your mouth hanging open like that. It's not a good look."
"Mr. Wang, you scared me to death! I knew you couldn't be that kind of person."
Supergirl let out a breath and spoke indignantly. Andrew smiled. "I was joking this time, but Kara, you don't know the real me. All you know is the surface, the idol you've built up in your mind."
Supergirl Kara was Superman's older cousin, one of their own. Andrew had long since realized she lusted after him, so there were things he needed to make clear in advance.
"Mr. Wang, I trust what I've seen with my own eyes."
Hearing Andrew bring this up, Supergirl looked bravely at him and said, "Your personality might be a little nasty, but you're a loving Savior. And you're the most faithful man I've ever met."
"Faithful?"
Andrew laughed. He picked up his phone and called Starlight Annie across universes. "Annie, what are you doing?"
"Patrolling the streets. Even when there aren't any disasters, having superheroes around puts people at ease. Besides, if anything unexpected happens, I can help right away."
Annie asked, "Andrew, how's the disaster going?"
"The disaster's over, so don't worry so much," Andrew said. "I'll come back tomorrow and tell you all about it. Remember to wear that outfit I like best."
"That's wonderful! I'll be waiting."
Annie was delighted, both because the disaster had ended and because Andrew was coming to see her. He was so busy that they rarely had time together anymore.
