"Ability User bodyguards? That could be a problem."

Al frowned. Although he possessed Regeneration Man's powers, Joker's irresponsibility meant he had no idea how to use them, or even how strong he actually was.

That was why Al was so wary of Ability Users. After all, he had previously been nothing more than an agent without any abilities.

Just then, Al suddenly sensed danger and donned the Hellspawn Armor almost instinctively. The next second, two rockets struck the little house where he was hiding. With a deafening explosion, the entire building collapsed, and fierce flames engulfed the wreckage.

"Well? Is that guy dead?"

Jason asked Nick, who stood beside him. They had tracked their target here using Nick's sense of smell. Seeing that this was a slum where nobody would interfere, Jason had simply launched a surprise rocket attack.

As for whether the poor people nearby would get caught in the blast, who cared? Jason didn't, the authorities didn't, and neither did America's ordinary citizens.

"The scent's still there, but it's gotten a little strange."

Nick frowned. "Boss, be careful. Don't let your guard down. My instincts tell me something's wrong."

"Strange? How?"

Jason was taken aback. Hearing this, Jess immediately raised her hand, and a squad of elite armed men aimed their guns at the burning wreckage.

Then something stirred amid the flames. A man in gray Battle Armor pushed aside the debris and slowly walked out of the fire.

The man was Al. He was already furious at being attacked out of nowhere. When he spotted Jason behind the others, he roared, "Jason Wayne!"

"Wow. Looks like someone has a grudge against me."

Jason signaled his bodyguard Jess and the Ability User Bilin as he asked, "Who are you, you skulking thief?"
