"Okay."
Jameson hurriedly handed the document bag to Andrew. Andrew nodded, rose, and left the office. When the people outside saw him, they respectfully called out, "Mr. Wang."
Only Peter said nothing. The moment he saw Andrew, every cell in his body warned him that the other man was extremely dangerous and told him to run for his life.
"Afternoon tea is on me."
Andrew smiled and deliberately glanced at Peter. Peter was so frightened he nearly jumped off the building. Andrew could not help laughing. Spider-Sense was quite sharp. He shook his head and left the newspaper office.
After Andrew left, Peter let out a huge sigh of relief. His hair had practically stood on end just now. He asked the secretary beside him, "Who was that guy just now? He seemed so impressive."
"He's our Big Boss, Andrew Wang, chairman of Rebirth Group."
The secretary said regretfully, "If I'd known Mr. Wang was coming, I would've gotten my hair done and changed into nicer clothes. He's Manhattan's number one diamond bachelor—not only is he worth tens of billions, he's also a young, handsome guy."
Peter was speechless. He glanced at the wedding ring on her ring finger and wisely kept quiet.
Peter secretly wondered, Why does Mr. Wang put so much pressure on me? Could he be some kind of alien?
Manhattan's Clinton District was known by New Yorkers as Hell's Kitchen due to its chaotic, run-down living conditions, severe ethnic conflicts, and high crime rate.
That evening, Andrew wore a T-shirt and jeans as he went to a bar in Hell's Kitchen for a drink. The bar carried a heavy scent of blood. If he was right, it was probably a Vampire stronghold.
Before long, two heavily made-up beauties sidled up to Andrew and asked, "Handsome, could you buy us a drink?"
That fast? Does this Demon King really look that harmless?
Andrew silently mocked himself. He could tell at a glance that the two beauties were not human. Smiling, he said, "I'd be delighted."
The two beauties sat on either side of Andrew and eagerly pressed themselves against him. Once Andrew appeared thoroughly bewitched, one of the green-haired beauties asked, "Handsome, do you want to go somewhere more exciting?"
Andrew put on an act and asked, "More exciting than you two?"
"A hundred times more exciting than us. There, you'll see things you've never seen before."
The other beauty said, "I guarantee you'll never forget it for the rest of your life."
Once you're dead, of course you'll remember it for the rest of your life.
Andrew mocked them internally. These two vampire beauties were probably plants specially assigned to lure food to the Vampire Restaurant.
Andrew was about to agree when an interested voice came from beside him. "Somewhere exciting? Can we come too?"
Someone else in a hurry to die?
Andrew was a little curious. He turned toward the voice and found a young blond man.
"Hello."
Seeing Andrew and the others look over, the blond man greeted them. Then, pointing at the companions behind him, he introduced them. "We're students from New York University. It's my birthday today, and they came to celebrate with me."
Andrew asked, "You came to Hell's Kitchen to celebrate your birthday?"
The blond man said, "I wanted to find somewhere exciting, but the bars in Hell's Kitchen don't seem any different from anywhere else."
Andrew could not help laughing. These were indeed American college students, the champions of courting death.
At that moment, a scholarly-looking blonde beauty with big eyes said, "Keith, let's call it a night. We should head back."
"Gwen, don't be such a killjoy. It's Keith's birthday. We need to let him have some real fun."
A scantily dressed woman called out. The others agreed as well. They had drunk a little and were getting carried away.
Gwen Stacy was somewhat helpless. Unlike these carefree classmates, as the police commissioner's daughter, she knew very well how dangerous Hell's Kitchen was.
"Gwen Stacy. There's an unexpected bonus."
Andrew glanced at Gwen and smiled. "Since you want to go, then let's go. I believe Hell's Kitchen won't disappoint you. You may remember what happens tonight for the rest of your lives."
"That's right. Hell's Kitchen will never disappoint you."
The two vampire beauties exchanged a glance and smiled together. Food was delivering itself to their doorstep, so naturally they would not refuse.
The group then got up and followed the two beauties to a nearby warehouse. Of course, the warehouse was merely a cover. The two women opened a basement door and led everyone into a well-hidden underground bar.
The underground bar was extremely dim, and the music was so loud it made their ears buzz. Many people were dancing wildly inside, while others were doing things in the corners that could not be written about.
Keith and the others were thrilled by the sight. Led by the two beauties, they entered the dance floor and began dancing. Only Andrew and Gwen did not move. Both frowned, clearly disliking the environment.
The two beauties no longer paid any attention to Andrew. There was no need to waste time on prey that had already entered the slaughterhouse.
Gwen looked around in disgust and said, "This place is awful. I should've known better than to come."
"Couldn't agree more."
Andrew nodded. "Hello, I'm Andrew Wang. I'm a freelance reporter."
It was noisy around them, but Andrew's voice still reached Gwen's ears clearly. She raised her voice and said, "Hello, I'm Gwen Stacy."
Andrew said, "Gwen, you shouldn't indulge your friends so much. Hell's Kitchen has never been a place to go looking for excitement."
"I'm not very good at fitting in."
Gwen gave a bitter smile. She was a top student and not particularly good with people. Since a classmate had invited her to his birthday, she had felt too awkward to leave casually.
"I can tell. It's about time."
Andrew smiled and pulled a black umbrella out from behind him. Gwen stared in astonishment. "Where did you get that umbrella from? No, why are you carrying an umbrella?"
Andrew said, "An umbrella in a bar, a Helmet while fishing—isn't that common sense?"
"What kind of common sense is that? Why have I never heard of it?"
Gwen complained. Just then, the music abruptly stopped. Immediately afterward, accompanied by the vampires' excited screams, the ceiling sprinklers switched on and sprayed down a great deal of red liquid. The vampires opened their mouths and greedily swallowed it.
Andrew opened his umbrella at once and pulled Gwen By His Side. Through the dim lighting, Gwen saw the blood and cried out in alarm, "Blood! What's going on? Are they some kind of cultists?"
Keith and the others also realized something was wrong, but it was too late. The surrounding vampires bared their fangs and growled at them. They screamed in terror.
Other vampires surrounded Andrew and Gwen as well. Seeing their blood-red eyes and terrifying fangs, Gwen was so frightened that she kept retreating into Andrew's arms.
