"Do you know what you've done?"
Blair angrily confronted Andrew. If she'd had a bag in her hand, she might have thrown it at him. This guy had gone too far; her dad had completely misunderstood.
"Don't be so angry. I actually... did it on purpose."
Andrew burst out laughing. Blair was so furious that she punched him several times. This guy was absolutely awful.
"Let me borrow your phone a little longer. I need to contact my mom."
After venting her anger, Blair glared at Andrew and said, "Also, Uncle, could you put in a word with the Disaster Countermeasures Bureau and ask them to treat my dad better? I heard that people who enter the Disaster Countermeasures Bureau's prison almost never come out in one piece."
"Don't worry. The Disaster Countermeasures Bureau is civilized. Those methods are reserved for supervillains. Your father will be released soon."
Andrew promised with a smile. Blair gave him a grateful look. Though this guy was awful, he really was dependable. Then, she went aside to call her mother and only came back after quite a while.
Blair returned the phone to Andrew, hesitated, and asked, "Uncle, should I really not go back to Los Angeles right now? My mom doesn't want me taking the risk either, but I'm really worried about my dad."
"Don't worry. Unless something unexpected happens, your father will be released in a day or two, then he'll work to pay off his debts."
Andrew said, "Think about it. If someone owed you hundreds of millions and hadn't paid you back, how would you treat him? Would you kill him outright, or feed and house him well so he could earn money to repay you?"
"Obviously the latter. If he dies, wouldn't my hundreds of millions really be gone?
