"Discuss it with her when she wakes up. By the way, you seem pretty free today. Doesn't the Bureau have anything arranged?"
Andrew asked. Samantha complained, "How could they not? I have to go to the police station this afternoon. They said there's a new assignment. The police department in New York is way more corrupt than the one back home. They work people to death."
After chatting for a few minutes, Samantha hung up. Ashley, who was tidying the house with Mike, asked in confusion, "Mom, why is Blair suddenly staying in New York? And why does she have to live with us? I'm not against it, I'm just curious."
"Here's what happened."
Samantha explained everything. In short, there had been a plane crash, an Ability awakening, her father going to prison, and so on. It was all rather fantastical.
"Wow, Blair's experience is enough to make a movie."
Mike could not help commenting. Ashley, however, was not in such a good mood. Blair had actually awakened an Ability?
It was a good thing for her best friend to awaken an Ability, but for some reason, Ashley suddenly felt a little jealous. They had all been the same before, so why had Blair suddenly become so outstanding?
"You can finish tidying up later. Blair wants to stay at the Chinese restaurant and learn how to use her Ability from Mr. Wang. I'll go over in a while and see if I can talk her out of it."
Samantha said, "If I can't, we'll have to let her stay there for now. Then, someday when Ray comes to New York, he can fight Mr. Wang."
"She still wants to stay at the Chinese restaurant?"
Ashley asked in astonishment. Did Samantha know how much effort she had spent talking to Blair
