Chthon looked at Billy, whose body was splitting apart and whose condition was dire. His gaze turned dangerous and sharp as he began to suspect that Billy might be an undercover agent.
The suspicion was perfectly reasonable. Billy had been a Skyfather for years, while Hughie had only recently become one. Billy excelled at combat and liked to attack, whereas Hughie was like some submissive little weakling, utterly pathetic in a head-on fight.
Under such circumstances, wasn't it obvious that something was wrong with Billy losing to Hughie?
"I didn't expect to lose to Hughie either."
Billy wore a bitter expression. He had already planned how to let Hughie escape after defeating him, yet the one who ended up running away was him.
