Dave, of course. Andrew had not asked him to move the Poison Gas Bombs because he knew perfectly well that Chthon and the others would interfere. There was no way they would just sit there and do nothing.
So instead of moving the Poison Gas Bombs, Dave had activated a Magic Array, locked onto thirty-two spatial coordinates, and prepared Spatial Barriers to contain the gas.
This had two advantages. First, the Spatial Barriers would activate simultaneously. Even if Conqueror Kang and the others noticed something was wrong, they would have no time to stop it. Everything would be finished in an instant.
Second, what Chthon and the others cared about most was the detonation of the Poison Gas Bombs. Once the bombs exploded successfully, they would be thrilled and might even let their attention slip. That would be the perfect moment to act.
"Yes! I did it!"
Seeing that he had successfully contained all the poison gas, Dave was ecstatic. His suffering had not been for nothing. He had saved countless Ability Users.
"Dave, the battle has only just begun. What are you getting so excited about? Never lose focus until the very last moment."
The Void Staff scolded him. "You may have blocked the poison gas with Spatial Barriers, but the enemy can destroy them. What you need to do now is strengthen those barriers as much as possible.
"At the same time, monitor every barrier. If one breaks and cannot be repaired, you must immediately evacuate everyone in that city. Neither task is easy. What gives you the right to relax now?"
