Because Tony had studied the small fighters in advance, he had prepared countermeasures long ago. The Unmanned Armor released a massive number of Nanites designed for erosion, infiltrating the small fighters and altering their programs.
If those small fighters had been connected to a server, this would have been difficult, because the main server would have helped resist the Erosion Program. The problem was that the small fighters had now lost their connection to the main server and could only resist on their own.
How much computing power could a small fighter have? They were no match at all for Tony's carefully designed Nanites. Thus, one small fighter after another switched sides mid-battle, hovering in the air to rewrite its programming.
"Too bad this is reality, not a movie. If it were a movie, the lights on the small fighters would change. They'd be red before being controlled, then turn blue afterward."
Tony watched the constantly flashing data before him and said with a grin, "That way, the audience could easily tell how the battle was going."
Tony was so pleased because the invasion was progressing extremely smoothly. Hundreds of thousands of small fighters were "defecting" at an astonishing rate. At this pace, all the small fighters would become allies—well, allied machines—within five minutes.
If all the small fighters were controlled, this battle would become much easier. The Villain Legion's Main Battleships were tied down, so how could the remaining Auxiliary Warships possibly withstand the combined attack of the Unmanned Armor, small fighters, and Earth Battleships?
