At the Royal Palace on the Main Star, Chthon looked up at the Phantom Image in the sky and snorted. "The King of Abilities really is arrogant. He's openly telling us that he knows we want a decisive battle, and that they're ready to fight one."
Indeed, Chthon's clone had arrived at the Royal Palace. This was a Skyfather-level clone, created with pooled contributions from Death, Set, and Chthon himself.
During their earlier strategy discussion, Chthon had promised that the three of them would provide a trump card. To make that trump card work, they needed a Skyfather-level clone, so the three had pooled their resources.
Chthon dared to appear so openly because the decisive battle was imminent. The King of Abilities would never rush over to cause trouble for him, as that would disrupt both sides' plans.
"Since he knows, are we still going to fight this decisive battle?"
King Balam asked anxiously. Chthon turned to look at him, his face full of disgust. Previously, although King Balam had been vicious, he had at least been someone of some substance.
The problem was that ever since Queen Jupiter appeared and grew increasingly powerful and respected, King Balam had completely changed. He had become timid and cringing, like a child who had done something wrong.

"Can we win?" King Balam asked again.
"If we couldn't win, why would we fight?"
