His intelligence had been wrong, leaving Conqueror Kang a little embarrassed. He hurriedly changed the subject. "Kakashi, only I can bring Konoha back into this world, whole and intact. When that happens, your father and mother will come back to life, too.
"I can grant Earth to you and your people, letting you return to your old lives—no, giving you even better lives. Earth has far more resources than the Ninja World."
"Earth belongs to Earth's people, and we ninjas are Earth's people, too."
Kakashi regarded him with his dead-fish eyes. "Conqueror Kang, save your breath. I won't betray Earth or the Disaster Countermeasures Bureau. As for Konoha, let an outdated village like that disappear."
Kakashi had already lived on Earth for several months. How could he still think much of Konoha's way of life? As for his parents, once he became a Skyfather, the King of Abilities and Mister Green would naturally help him manifest them. That went without saying.
"In that case, you can disappear, too. And Kakashi, you've destroyed Konoha's only chance to exist."
His attempt to win Kakashi over had failed. Conqueror Kang snorted, and the entire Doomsday Network lit up. Then a stone maze appeared out of thin air around Kakashi, trapping him deep inside.
"Desperate Maze."
Conqueror Kang's voice rang out. "You can only leave this maze by finding the exit. Otherwise, your consciousness will remain trapped here forever.
"Oh, and a friendly reminder: there are plenty of monsters and dangers in the maze, so watch yourself. If you die here, your real body will die, too.
"But rest assured, this isn't a maze with no chance of survival. There really is an exit. This maze observes the most basic fairness rule."
