The vampires heard the commotion at the main doors and immediately rushed over to stop them. Gunshots rang out in succession, but they were completely useless. Whistler charged forward through the bullets and swung his silver sword with all his strength. Five vampires were sliced cleanly in half at the waist, turning to ash and scattering away.
"Blade, I'm here."
Whistler slaughtered his way inside like a God of War. No vampire could stop him. Before long, he reached the top of the Altar. Blade's mother backed away in terror and shouted, "Don't kill me! I'm Blade's mother."
Whistler was somewhat surprised when he heard that, but then he split the woman in two with a single stroke. It wasn't that he didn't believe her. He was simply taking care of Blade's problem for him—once Blade gained his freedom, he would kill her anyway. Only then could she be freed.
Next, Whistler activated High-Frequency Oscillation and split the coffin open with one slash. Blade fell out weakly. He looked up at Whistler in astonishment. "A robot? Huh, why does it look so much like that old bastard Whistler?"
"Because I am that old bastard Whistler."
Whistler laughed and cursed, then took out a Serum from the pouch at his waist and handed it to Blade. "Recover quickly, then we'll kill that bastard Deacon together."
"You're Whistler?"
As Blade injected the Serum, he asked, "How did you become a robot? Tsk, this machine doesn't look cheap."
Blade cared deeply about money, because fighting vampires was expensive. Silver bullets and highly concentrated garlic extract all cost money. In fact, he often picked up luxury goods from vampires and sold them for cash.
"You're worrying about money at a time like this?"
Whistler mocked him, setting down the case. "Like you, I sold my soul to Boss."
Blade froze for a moment, then said, "So you sold yours too. That's good. We can keep killing vampires together."
Whistler laughed. "Of course it's good. Boss only has one demand of us: exterminate the vampires."
"I like that demand."
Blade grinned, tossed aside the Serum bottle, and rose from the ground. Brimming with Killing Intent, he asked, "Got any weapons?"
"Of course."
Whistler opened the case. Inside were all kinds of weapons, including shotguns, UV grenades, Anti-Coagulation Agents, and more.
The Anti-Coagulation Agent was a medicine that had existed for a long time. Trask had discovered that it could make vampires explode, so he had equipped Whistler and the others with it.
Whistler said, "These are weapons Boss provided for us. Every one of them is top-notch. Oh, there's a pair of sunglasses here. Boss specially gave them to you. He said sunglasses are your true form."
"My true form?"
Blade was speechless. He first equipped himself with the weapons, then took the sunglasses and put them on. In an instant, he felt complete.
Blade with sunglasses was the real Blade.
The cool Black man wasted no time. Holding a shotgun, he rushed out and shouted, "Deacon Frost, come out and die!"
Deacon did not respond, because the ritual had already been completed. He was undergoing a rapid transformation within the Bloodlight.
"We must stop Blade. We cannot let him interfere with Deacon."
Mercury led a group of elite vampires guarding the entrance. The moment Blade and Whistler appeared, they unleashed a fierce barrage at them. One vampire even aimed a rocket launcher at Whistler.
Whistler stood in front of Blade. Blinding Ultraviolet Rays lit up in his eyes like two tiny purple suns. A large number of vampires instantly turned to ash, while the rest hurriedly fled behind the walls.
"You think hiding will help? Blade, throw the grenades."
Whistler flashed a savage grin and hurled UV grenades inside alongside Blade. Boom! Boom! Boom! The UV grenades exploded one after another, filling the area with purple light. The vampires could not even scream before turning to ash in succession.
Whistler deactivated the Ultraviolet Rays and charged into the Altar with Blade. They found that nearly all the vampires were dead. Only a handful of Pureblood Vampires, including Mercury, remained alive, but they were in terrible condition, as though they had been drenched in sulfuric acid.
Whistler rushed over, preparing to finish off Mercury and the others. Blade, meanwhile, turned toward Deacon on the platform. Just as he was about to attack, Deacon suddenly opened his blood-red eyes and grinned. "Sorry, you're too late. I'm already the Blood God."
After saying that, Deacon flickered and suddenly appeared in front of Blade. One punch sent him flying more than ten meters away. Seeing this, Whistler immediately turned around and activated the Gatling Machine Gun, firing a dense barrage of silver-plated bullets at Deacon.
Deacon showed no fear at all. His body moved at high speed, dodging every bullet.
Then, Deacon approached Whistler with an evil grin and threw a vicious punch. Bang! Even Whistler was sent flying, and a clear fist print appeared in the armor on his chest.
Whistler cursed and fired several miniature missiles from his back at Deacon. Deacon easily dodged them. The missiles exploded on the ground with a series of booms, kicking up flames and black smoke.
"Useless. I'm a god now."
Deacon raised his arms and laughed wildly. At that moment, he felt a wave of weakness. He had consumed too much energy—the Blood God power was indeed formidable, but it consumed an enormous amount of energy.
Deacon's eyes flashed as he walked toward Mercury and the others. Seeing Deacon display such divine might, Mercury and the others shouted excitedly, "All hail Deacon!"
Deacon transformed into a mass of Bloodlight and enveloped the excited Mercury and the others. He said, "For the great cause of the Blood Clan, please become my food."
To the Blood God, Pureblood Vampires were a tremendous source of nourishment. Mercury and the others were shocked beyond measure, but they could not resist at all. Deacon rapidly devoured them.
"Scum will always be scum."
Whistler cursed furiously and fired all the Anti-Coagulation Agents on his body into the mass of blood. Deacon did not care in the slightest. He was the Blood God, without weakness, immortal and undying.
Unfortunately, Deacon did not know that the Anti-Coagulation Agent was a vampire's nemesis. As the Anti-Coagulation Agent entered his body, Deacon's body gradually began to swell, ready to explode at any moment.
"No!"
Deacon was both shocked and enraged. Gritting his teeth, he sent a small amount of blood into Mercury's body, which had not yet been completely devoured.
At that moment, a Quinjet flew overhead. Immediately afterward, a special missile launched from the aircraft, splitting into over a hundred miniature missiles in midair and dropping into every corner of the Altar.
The next second, the miniature missiles exploded simultaneously. Purple light filled the Altar. These were Ultraviolet Missiles developed by Tony Stark.
The Ultraviolet Missiles also ignited raging flames. The long-neglected Altar rapidly collapsed amid the fire.
"Damn it."
Whistler hurriedly rushed above Blade and used his own body to shield him. At the same time, Deacon was struck by a falling rock and exploded ahead of time, blood scattering everywhere.
On the Quinjet, Barton reported, "The missiles have been launched. Preparing to land."
"Good. Barton, kill every vampire. Leave none alive."
Nick Fury said coldly—he had finally realized that Deacon had played him. If someone had not reported the massive disturbance here, he still would not have known that the Deacon in the car was a fake.
"Understood."
Barton nodded and guided the aircraft down. Then, an elite team of ten disembarked from the Quinjet, cautiously approaching the Altar with their guns raised.
