Just then, a Blood Shadow flew out of the Altar. The elite squad immediately opened fire, while some of them used Ultraviolet Rays lamps. Unfortunately, it was completely useless. The Blood Shadow entered an agent's body, and the agent visibly shriveled up.

Then, the Blood Shadow flew out of that agent's body and entered another agent's body. That agent immediately met the same fate as the previous one.

The agents were terrified and retreated again and again. Barton hurriedly shouted, "Split up!"

The agents followed orders, but it was no use at all. The Blood Shadow was too fast. In less than a minute, half the agents had been drained dry.

Barton gritted his teeth and fired a Micro Missile at the possessed agent. With a boom, the agent was blown to pieces, but the Blood Shadow was almost unharmed and immediately pounced toward another agent.

"A bunch of idiots."

Just as the agents were collapsing, Whistler escaped from the ruins with Blade. Seeing the situation outside, he let Blade go and charged at the Blood Shadow while cursing loudly.

The Blood Shadow's strength had greatly diminished, and he was somewhat wary of Whistler. He turned and flew toward the city—he could sense an incomparably powerful companion there.

Whistler cursed and immediately Activated his flight function, chasing after him with blazing light streaming behind him.

Before Barton could figure out what was happening, Blade leaped onto his aircraft and shouted, "What are you waiting for? Hurry after him! Deacon Frost has become the Blood God. If he absorbs enough blood, no one will be able to deal with him."

Barton was shocked. He immediately activated the aircraft and gave chase, while reporting the situation to Nick Fury.

Nick Fury slammed his fist onto the table in frustration. Nothing had gone right tonight.

At Osborn Group Tower, Doctor Lizard, Spider-Man, and Iron Man were locked in a chaotic battle. Doctor Lizard desperately climbed upward. Spider-Man tried to stop him, only to be sent flying by a sweep of his tail.

Iron Man fired an Arc Pulse Cannon at Doctor Lizard. With a bang, Doctor Lizard was blasted into an office. However, he was barely injured. He got up and quickly ran toward the stairs.

Iron Man cursed and immediately chased after him, with Spider-Man following closely behind—he had been on his way somewhere when he suddenly spotted Doctor Connors, and the battle had broken out.

The three fought and chased each other all the way to Doctor Connors's laboratory. After Doctor Lizard rushed inside, he found Gwen and several police officers moving the Canary Device.

"Thank you."

Doctor Lizard grinned and rushed forward, sending the police officers who tried to resist flying. Then, he turned his vicious gaze toward Gwen, who backed away in terror.

Doctor Lizard was about to attack when he suddenly felt an immense chill, as if he could be torn to pieces at any moment.

Doctor Lizard was horrified. After hesitating for a moment, he hoisted the Canary Device onto his shoulder and continued running upward, leaving Gwen standing fearfully in the corner.

At that moment, Iron Man and Spider-Man caught up. Gwen hurriedly shouted, "He took the Canary Device! We have to stop him, or everyone in the city will turn into lizards!"

"Shit."

Tony cursed and flew out through the window. He intended to wait for Doctor Lizard on the rooftop, and Spider-Man followed him.

Gwen let out a sigh of relief. She had intended to leave, but then she noticed the antidote was in her hand. Gritting her teeth, she climbed the stairs after them.

Andrew, who had been observing everything from afar, was speechless. Gwen really did have a death wish. No wonder she died in Final Destination.

Soon, Doctor Lizard reached the rooftop, where Iron Man and Spider-Man blocked his path. Spider-Man said, "Doctor Connors, I read your files. You're a good person. Don't keep making the same mistakes."

"Of course I'm a good person. That's why I want to turn this world into one without flaws. The Lizard Potion has Regeneration abilities. Any defect can be repaired."

Doctor Lizard set the Canary Device aside and launched a furious assault on Iron Man and Spider-Man. The three began another vicious battle.

After a while, Gwen arrived, panting heavily. Seeing the current situation, she hesitated before throwing the antidote to Iron Man. "Iron Man, the antidote!"

They had to deal with Doctor Lizard first, then handle the other Lizardmen. In any case, the laboratory's machines were already producing more antidote.

Upon hearing that, Iron Man immediately flew toward the antidote. Doctor Lizard tried to stop him, but Spider-Man rapidly fired Spider Silk at him, trapping him in place—Spider-Man in this world could not produce Spider Silk himself and relied on a Spider Silk Launcher.

Iron Man successfully caught the antidote. He was about to rush over and inject Doctor Lizard when a Blood Shadow flew in from the horizon.

This Blood Shadow was none other than Blood God Deacon. The moment he saw Doctor Lizard, he was overjoyed and immediately Flew Into Doctor Lizard's body.

Doctor Lizard let out a Roared and instantly broke free of Spider-Man's Spider Silk. Then, his skin rapidly took on a layer of red.

The Blood God Lizard had officially been born.

"Wow, did two Bosses just fuse?"

Andrew rubbed his nose. Even he had not expected such a development, but it was not a bad thing.

Iron Man cursed and charged forward, preparing to inject the antidote into the Blood God Lizard. However, the Blood God Lizard reacted with incredible speed. His tail swept over, smashing the antidote in Tony's hand to pieces and sending Tony himself flying.

"I am a god!"

The Blood God Lizard laughed wildly, somewhat out of his mind. At that moment, Whistler arrived and fired fiercely at the Blood God Lizard while cursing.

The Blood God Lizard kicked a stone bench from the rooftop toward Whistler. Whistler fired a Micro Missile and blew the bench apart. He was about to continue attacking when he discovered that the Blood God Lizard had vanished.

The next second, the Blood God Lizard appeared to Whistler's left and slashed down viciously with a claw. Though Whistler dodged immediately, his left arm was still brutally severed by the Blood God Lizard.

The Blood God Lizard was about to continue attacking when a barrage of large-caliber bullets whistled in, riddling his body with craters. Barton had arrived in a Quinjet to provide support.

The Blood God Lizard Roared and ran forward to evade the bullets. Then, he hurled Whistler's arm at the Quinjet with all his strength. With a bang, a huge hole was smashed into the aircraft, forcing Barton to guide it downward.

"This is getting more and more troublesome."

Iron Man rejoined the battle, with Whistler and Spider-Man supporting him from the side. The Blood God Lizard was utterly fearless, but before long, he felt weak once again.

That Sentence still applied: the Blood God's ability was useful, but its energy consumption was enormous.

The Blood God Lizard cursed, broke away from the others, and flew into the distance. Yes, he could fly, and he was incredibly fast. Only Iron Man could barely keep up with him; even Whistler was left behind.
