Spider-Gwen was just as speechless. "Are you sure he's afraid of us killing each other? Last time Dark Phoenix fought Wonder Woman, he set up a lounge chair nearby and watched while eating sunflower seeds."
The Spider-Men's eyes lit up. This sounded like some juicy gossip. Besides, Gwen, weren't you missing the point? Your boyfriend had a whole bunch of wives, and you were actually putting up with it? You were Spider-Woman!
Middle-aged Spider-Man shook his head. Steady as ever, he brought the conversation back on track. "Since we're all agreed, let's go find the King of Abilities and work with him to take down the Kang Council."
"No problem."
The Spider-Men all nodded. Only Wade shook his head. "I just split up with the King of Abilities. He told me to run around the End of Time."
Middle-aged Spider-Man asked in confusion, "Why would the King of Abilities tell you to run around the End of Time?"
"Because I'm the protagonist. If I run around the End of Time, I'll stumble into some lucky encounter."
Wade spoke as though it were obvious. "That's why the King of Abilities let me do whatever I wanted. He also asked me to get Wolverine up to Skyfather level while I was at it. Right now, aside from being covered in muscles, he's completely useless."
Wolverine gritted his teeth. Want me to give you a few swipes of my claws? The Spider-Men were speechless. Although they were all protagonists, they didn't believe in plot armor. Spider-Gwen was the exception, of course. Both her strength and her knowledge far
