Spider-Gwen's Chronos Web was something even Immortal Kang and Chthon could not lock onto, much less the Kang Council. The Kang Council was powerful, but as a mechanical creation, it was certainly inferior to Skyfathers in some respects.
There was no Artificial Intelligence overseeing the overall situation within the Kang Council, because the Conqueror Kangs did not want anyone peering into their research or privacy—not even Immortal Kang.
Chthon said to Immortal Kang, "Immortal Kang, if we want to resolve our current predicament and turn defeat into victory, there is only one way: sacrifice you."
"Sacrifice me?"
Immortal Kang froze for a moment, then snapped, "Chthon, we agreed to stand united, yet you want to take advantage of the situation and sacrifice my soul? Do you think I would fall for that? I would rather die at the hands of the King of Abilities than sacrifice my soul to you."
"You misunderstand. I have no intention of taking your soul."
Chthon shook his head, though he secretly found it regrettable. He had deliberately made things ambiguous just now to test him. If Immortal Kang had not reacted so strongly, he would have changed his strategy and persuaded him to sacrifice his soul.
Unfortunately, Immortal Kang was far too proud and had no intention whatsoever of surrendering his soul. Chthon could only say, "What I want you to sacrifice is not your soul, but most of your life force, along with the Universes you possess."
"Most of my life force, and the Universes I possess?"
Immortal Kang was stunned. He asked, "Sacrificing my life force is no problem, but how do I sacrifice my Universes? I did not make any preparations beforehand. Besides, I am not a god. My rule over the Universes follows an ordinary system; I have no believers."
