Andrew continued, "You've never done me any favors. All you've done is threaten me, because you've always wanted my soul. Am I right, Demon Queen?"

The woman in red sneered. "A fair trade. What's wrong with that? If you don't want me taking your soul, then don't make wishes. You're the one who's greedy, so why blame me?"

"If it really were a fair trade, then I indeed shouldn't blame you. But was your trade truly fair?"

Andrew scoffed. The woman in red shouted, "Of course it was. Otherwise, the Contract would have punished me long ago."

"Nothing but lies. Why would someone like you be an Angel? God must be blind."

Andrew said this, and the woman in red's expression changed. Seeing that, Andrew sneered. "Are you thinking of killing me? Because I discovered your secret—that you're an Angel?"

The woman in red fell silent for a moment, then said, "If you save me, I absolutely won't kill you. I may not be a good person, but I'm certainly not someone who repays kindness with betrayal.

Mr. Wang, save me, and I'll abandon the Contract between us. You'll regain your freedom."

"If I kill you, won't I gain freedom all the same? The Contract only says that you can't harm me without cause. It doesn't say I can't harm you."

Andrew sneered. "Besides, after killing you, maybe I'll get some loot. You've got... uh, apparently no equipment on you. I wonder whether the Demon King's corpse is useful? Maybe for refining undead creatures or something?"

The woman in red stared at Andrew speechlessly. Which one of us was the Demon King, exactly? Why did his heart seem even darker than hers?

*Next time, I definitely need to add a clause to the Contract: the contractor cannot harm the Demon
