"Become a god? You think you're worthy?"
The Guard Deputy Commander spat viciously and cursed. If he did not still need to obtain more intelligence from Laura, he would have already cut off her head with a single stroke.
"The reason you failed was that the Six Great Powers screwed you over, wasn't it?"
Andrew said, "You stayed by the Sea Goddess's side every day. Given the Sea Goddess's foolish... innocence, you understood her far better than the Six Great Powers did."
Locke and the Guard Deputy Commander both glared at Andrew. You were about to say foolish, weren't you? How dare you blaspheme the goddess like that?
Andrew ignored Locke and the others and continued, "With your intelligence, it would have been easy for you to guess that the Six Great Powers would eventually make a move against the Sea Goddess. So, you chose to work with them—or rather, use them.
"You wanted to use them to obtain part of the Sea Goddess's body, then use that part to make yourself a god, didn't you?"
"You wanted to exchange it for my blood?"
The Sea Goddess asked in astonishment. As mentioned before, she had once bestowed a divine artifact upon Laura, one containing exceptionally powerful life force.
If an ordinary person fused with the Sea Goddess's blood, there would be only one result: their body would explode, because an ordinary body could not withstand a goddess's Divine Power.
But Laura was different. She possessed a divine artifact, one that shared the same origin as the Sea Goddess's blood. She could use the artifact's power to fuse with the Sea Goddess's blood and turn herself into a counterfeit goddess.
If this method succeeded, Laura would not ascend directly into a true goddess, but she would at least become a Demigod.
