The figure that appeared was none other than the majestic Sea Goddess. Laura and the other two reacted differently at the sight of her.
Upon seeing the Sea Goddess, the Guard Deputy Commander immediately dropped to his knees and shouted excitedly, "Goddess, thank goodness you're alive."
Locke hesitated somewhat. He wondered whether this Sea Goddess was real or fake. After all, her body was somewhat intangible, clearly not in a normal state.
As for the maid Laura, she was first shocked—or rather, horrified—before pretending to bow excitedly. "Goddess, I've finally seen you again."
The reason Laura merely bowed instead of kneeling was that the Sea Goddess had once told her not to kneel before her. In fact, the Sea Goddess had said the same thing to her other followers, but most of them had ignored it.
"Are you really the Sea Goddess?"
Locke asked cautiously. Before the Sea Goddess could answer, Laura shouted, "Locke, I've long known you weren't devout to the Goddess. You're just an ambitious man using the Goddess's name to build your own power.
"Seeing the Goddess resurrected, you're not excited in the slightest. Instead, you question her. How dare you call yourself one of the Goddess's followers?"
"That's right, you're not a follower of the Goddess."
The Guard Deputy Commander nodded repeatedly and said, "Goddess, please allow me to eliminate this Traitor who has blasphemed against you."
"What nonsense are you talking about? I'm merely being cautious. Everyone knows the Goddess was killed by the Six Great Powers."
Locke said angrily, "This could be a scheme by the Six Great Powers. Besides, I was brought here by force. If she really is the Goddess, why would she kidnap me?"
Laura and the Guard Deputy Commander also wanted to know the answer, so they both looked toward
