The King of Negativity was rather surprised. It had not expected there to be good people in the Mysterious Organization. That was truly rare.
Big Mouth could not say a word. He was filled with terror—shock at being controlled, and fear at having his entire being seen through. He stared at the Sky-Piercing Tree before him, having no idea what was happening or what he should do.
"Don't worry. We're on the same side. I won't hurt you."
Sensing Big Mouth's terror, the King of Negativity smiled. Its voice echoed in Big Mouth's mind. "Your greatest Negative Emotion is fear—the fear of losing your loved ones. Compared to that, your resentment is far less.
Accept my leaf. It will turn your fear into a weapon, allowing you to sweep through the Mind Illusion without resistance. If your talent is sufficient, you may even have a chance to become my Fear Apostle."
After a pause, the King of Negativity continued, "Once you become my Fear Apostle, you can absorb other people's fear. At that point, not only will you be able to use your Ability freely, you will also be able to wield Fear Force in the Reality World."
As the King of Negativity spoke, a leaf drifted down from the Sky-Piercing Tree and floated before Big Mouth.
Big Mouth was, uh, even more bewildered. What was going on? This Sky-Piercing Tree was one of their own—or rather, one of his own—and it was about to grant him a fortuitous opportunity?
