The Tree of Time was astonished. Just then, Star World collapsed, and a wisp of black smoke so thin it seemed ready to disperse at any moment appeared. It spun in the air and transformed back into Chthon.
On the surface, Chthon looked no different from before, but upon closer inspection, one would discover that he was now only an empty shell. Almost everything inside him was gone.
Chthon had survived, but this avatar was practically crippled. The Great Demon God would need to infuse it with Divine Power again before it could truly revive.
"Damn it, Star God!"
Chthon gritted his teeth. This failure had cost him dearly. This avatar had nearly been completely destroyed, and restoring it would require almost as much Divine Power as creating a new avatar.
As mentioned before, continuously creating avatars within a short period would become increasingly difficult. Though the battle at Sea Fortress and the summoning of the Compound V Big Tree had seemed drawn out, they had actually taken place over only a few days.
In just a few days, Chthon had created two avatars in succession and now had to repair one again. Even Chthon felt pained by the price he had to pay.
Moreover, Chthon had lost his qualification to compete for the Star God. In his current state, it would already be fortunate if he could
