Set thought it over and felt that Chthon made sense. He reminded him, "I'll owe you one. I'll definitely repay you in the future."
"There's no need to keep such careful accounts between us."
Chthon smiled. On one hand, they were the Iron Triangle, so there truly was no need to keep score so precisely. On the other hand, he would definitely tamper with the Scale, so Set need not be too grateful.
"Naturally."
Set laughed heartily, but sneered inwardly. How could he not know what Chthon was like? Chthon would definitely tamper with that Scale, but it was not a major problem.
For one thing, time was tight, so Chthon could not do anything too drastic. For another, they were the Iron Triangle after all. Chthon would not use anything too vicious; if it were exposed, the two sides would fall out.
Set eagerly awaited the Scale, while Chthon silently transferred Divine Power underground, gradually lurking beneath Barbara's feet.
The next second, the Divine Power erupted. Endless black mist transformed into chains and bound Barbara. Barbara seemed unable to react in time and stared at the chains in terror.
Instead of being pleased, Chthon was alarmed. Something was wrong. Cheetah's reaction was wrong. How could a woman whom Set considered an opponent react so poorly? This was clearly a trap.
"Looks like that Cheetah discovered me. She has some skill, but only some. She has no idea what kind of opponent she is facing."
Although he knew it might be a trap, Chthon did not stop. On one hand, he could not stop; on the other, he had confidence in himself. Those chains were filled with Curses
