The last time Set had temporarily altered his bloodline, it had only been an emergency measure. It came with many restrictions, and using it drastically reduced his strength.
Over the past two days, Set and Chthon had studied the matter again, using the Great Demon God's divine power to temporarily raise the rank of Set's bloodline. Once activated, the Feathered Serpent's power would no longer be able to suppress Set.
Of course, the change wasn't permanent. It would continually consume the Great Demon God's divine power while active. They could actually make it permanent, but there was no need, and Chthon would never be that wasteful.
