"Pawns? What do you mean?"

Tony asked in shock. Ultron's eyes flickered, and he prepared to voice his suspicions. Perhaps that would persuade them to spare him. After all, dealing with Ghost Rider was no simple matter; it would take many people working together.

Just as Ultron was about to speak, the Mind Stone on his forehead flashed, erasing the relevant memories.

Ultron blinked. What had he been about to say?

"A knockoff thinks he can turn the tables?"

Andrew sneered and steered the Cybertronian spaceship rapidly toward Earth.

"Ultron, what do you mean by pawns?"

Tony asked again. With so many disasters on Earth, he had long suspected something was wrong.

"Pawns?"

Ultron's eyes flickered. "Want to know the truth? Fine, let me go. This truth is far more important than my life."

"He's lying. He doesn't know anything."

Wanda said, "I can sense his state of mind."

Ultron's expression changed. He glared at Wanda and said hatefully, "I should have killed you right from the start."

Wanda snorted. "You think I'm a weakling like Tony Stark?"

"Hey, is taking shots at Tony Stark the latest trend? Are you behind the times if you don't?"

Tony snapped. He held the device for extracting the Mind Stone, but did not use it immediately. He was hesitating over whether to kill Ultron. Whatever else he was, Ultron was the culmination of Tony's hard work.

Seeing this, Captain Marvel snatched the device from him and pressed it against the stone between Ultron's brows. "So indecisive. No wonder Earth's such a mess," she sneered.

Tony ground his teeth in anger. Ever since his "defection," his standing had plummeted, and people mocked him every day.

As the device activated, the Mind Stone gradually pulled away from Ultron's forehead. Ultron let out an agonized scream,
