Magneto, nearly mad with rage, was about to continue attacking when a red figure in a suit, with a tail, appeared beside him and vanished with him.

Immediately afterward, the red figure appeared behind Toad and Sabretooth, taking the two with him as they dissolved into red mist and disappeared.

Red Devil shrugged. He and Magneto were merely partners, so he did not speak politely at all.

Furthermore, Red Devil had once deceived Mystique Raven into bearing him a child—Blue Devil. Their relationship was terrible. If it had not been for Magneto, Raven would never have called Red Devil.

"Damn It."

Magneto cursed bitterly. How many years had it been since he had been so humiliated? He had been pinned to the ground and beaten by a mere brat.

Toad said, "Erik, calm down. We should take our time with revenge."

"We can't take our time. What happened today will make those people lose their awe of Mutants. More importantly, there must be a massive conspiracy behind Mutants turning back into ordinary people. We must act as soon as possible."

Magneto took a deep breath and said coldly, "Prepare the instruments. In seven days, we will attack New York Times Square and turn everyone in Manhattan into Mutants. Red Devil, you're coming with us then."

Red Devil shrugged. "I don't care."

Toad froze, then hurriedly said, "Erik, without that girl, you'll die if you activate the instrument."

Magneto had developed a Radiation Instrument that could transform ordinary people into Mutants, and he needed to activate it personally. The instrument consumed an enormous amount of energy. If he wanted its radiation waves to cover all of Manhattan, Magneto would most likely have to sacrifice his old life.

That was why Magneto wanted to capture Rogue—she could absorb the abilities of Others, and Magneto wanted her to activate the instrument in his place.

Toad nodded and excitedly left with the Others. Feeling the pain throughout his body, Magneto became even more furious. He would make that brat pay the price.

Although Times Square had suffered Magneto's attack, the steady stream of Mutants turning back into ordinary people meant that it had not grown deserted. Instead, it became increasingly lively.

In Rebirth Tower near Times Square, Andrew sensed Soul Pacts being signed one after another and felt deeply satisfied. What pleased him even more was that, according to the investigation, Mutants from other places were gathering in New York.

That Is To Say, Andrew would have to keep casting Curses until his hands cramped over the next stretch of time.
