"Big news."
Roxanne immediately began reporting. "As you can see, Iron Man has been captured by Magneto. Magneto doesn't seem to intend to kill him. He's merely hung him from the Circular Tower for display..."
Having appeared in countless news reports, Tony immediately noticed a camera pointed at him. He shouted toward it, "Don't film me, or one day I'll buy the TV station and fire every last one of you."
Unfortunately, it was so noisy around him that no one could hear what Tony was shouting. Viewers in front of their screens only saw Tony yelling wildly, seemingly begging for help.
The citizens' hearts sank. Even Iron Man had been captured. What were they supposed to do? That was Iron Man.
"Haha, so this brat has a day like this too. Serves him right."
The one who said that was none other than Tony's father, Howard. Seeing Tony in such an embarrassing state, he couldn't help bursting into laughter.
"You really are Iron Man's biological father."
Andrew mocked him, then asked, "Aren't you afraid Magneto will kill your son? Come to think of it, Tony's terrible luck... could it have something to do with Dr. Reed?"
Howard said, "I'm not worried. If Magneto really wanted to kill Tony, he would've done it already. Magneto is a mutant supremacist. He's probably trying to humiliate Tony and belittle ordinary people through him."
Standing before the floor-to-ceiling window and gazing at the towering metal Circular Tower, Andrew said, "Magneto won't kill Iron Man, true enough. But he will get Iron Man killed."
Howard froze and hurriedly asked, "What do you mean?"
"Magneto's machine can turn ordinary people into Mutants. The problem is that the machine is incomplete. Those transformed will die from Gene Collapse in a short time."
Andrew said, "Hanging Iron Man up there serves two purposes. One is to humiliate ordinary people. The other is to turn Iron Man into a Mutant."
Howard couldn't help cursing. "Damn it, doesn't he have any scientific common sense? He didn't even conduct the most basic experiments? Which university gave him a diploma?"
"That's what you're concerned about?"
Andrew mocked him. Howard was genuinely getting anxious now. "Boss, I'm going to save Tony."
"In front of Magneto, your Battle Suit is no different from a toy."
Andrew said, "Relax, Tony won't die. If he really does die..."
Howard's eyes lit up. "Will you revive him?"
"No. I'll immediately take him into Rebirth Hell and reunite you father and son. No need to thank me. That's the reward you've earned."
Howard's face darkened. Why don't I thank your whole family? He said, "Boss, the Stark family has no heir besides him. That brat can't die yet."
"I told you, relax."
Howard finally understood. He said excitedly, "That's great. Boss, I'll go make preparations. The Air Fortress has already been modified."
Andrew waved a hand and sent Howard back to Hell. Then he took out his phone and sent Roxanne an anonymous voice message.
Roxanne was reporting when a voice message suddenly played through her Bluetooth earpiece. After listening to it, she beamed with delight and turned to shout, "Peter, point the camera at me..."
Roxanne's words abruptly stopped. The reason was simple: Peter Parker had slipped away at some point, leaving only the camera sitting lonely atop the car.
"That brat actually ran off? Handsome guys really can't be relied on. Fine, I'll do it myself."
Roxanne gritted her teeth, walked over to adjust the camera's position, and began reporting.
Peter had run off? Of course not. He had merely transformed into Spider-Man and joined the battle. With one kick, he sent a Petrified Skin Mutant flying and shouted, "Hey, kidnapping is a serious crime."
"Damned Bug, get lost."
The Petrified Skin Mutant roared and began fighting Spider-Man fiercely. Just then, Coulson arrived with the agents. Without wasting words, they immediately raised their Freeze Guns and fired at the Mutants, knocking several of them down on the spot.
"Fall back."
Seeing this, Toad led the Mutants backward. Wolverine, with bloodshot eyes from the killing, immediately pursued them. He swung his claws with force, slicing one Mutant directly into four pieces.
Seeing this from the Circular Tower, Magneto raised a hand. Wolverine flew uncontrollably toward the tower, where metal bars tightly coiled around him and hung him in the air.
Tony greeted Wolverine, "You're here too? The view's pretty good up here."
Wolverine ignored Tony and struggled with all his strength. Unfortunately, with both arms bound, he couldn't break free from the metal bars.
Without Wolverine's interference, the Mutants successfully retreated into the fortress. Relying on its cover, they used Superpowers and firearms to attack the X-Men and agents outside, forcing everyone to hastily take cover behind obstacles.
"This is trouble."
Coulson cursed under his breath. They had brought Freeze Guns, whose firepower was nowhere near their opponents'. Of course, even if they had heavy weapons, they wouldn't dare use them with Magneto on the Circular Tower.
Before Magneto, modern weapons were a joke.
Magneto wasn't in a hurry to activate the machine. He was waiting for an enemy to appear. Just then, Mystique, wearing an Iron Suit, suddenly aimed her hand at Magneto.
Then a voice came from Mystique's mouth. "Erik, don't keep making the same mistake."
Magneto used Magnetism Control on the Iron Suit and said, "Charles, I knew you would come. Why don't you search Raven's memories from the past few days?"
Professor Charles froze, then hurriedly checked Mystique's recent memories. A moment later, he flew into a rage. "Erik, you actually kidnapped my students?"
"No kidnapping. I merely invited them out to have some fun. Charles, from now on, you're forbidden from using Mind Ability to control anyone in the Brotherhood. Afterward, I'll return them to you."
Professor Charles said, "Erik, you've changed. The old you would never have done something like this."
Magneto snorted coldly. "The old me still had illusions about humanity and about you. But now, they're gone. Charles, only one of humanity and Mutants can survive. Leave."
Professor Charles had always been soft-hearted, and his students were an even greater weakness. He sighed and withdrew from Mystique's mind.
Mystique returned to normal, lowered her hand, and sneered. "Charles's soft-hearted flaw will never change in this lifetime."
"That's why he's unfit to Command the Mutants."
Magneto looked down below and said through gritted teeth, "That brat should be here soon. This time, I'll definitely make him pay."
Mystique shook her head. "He may not make a move. Even if he does, he won't get past Red Devil and me."
"Don't underestimate him."
At that moment, Storm, Beast Hank, Colossus, and other X-Men rushed over from afar to join the battle—the jet had landed far away, after all, Magneto was here.
Storm had already learned from Professor Charles that the boys had been kidnapped. Furious, her eyes turned white as she flew into the sky wrapped in Fierce Wind. Then she controlled lightning, preparing to bombard the Circular Tower.
Seeing this, Mystique immediately activated the Mark Suit and flew toward Storm. Halfway there, she controlled the suit to launch six miniature missiles at Storm.
"Iron Man?"
Storm was startled and hurriedly used lightning to blast the missiles apart. Mystique sneered, rushed before Storm, raised her hand, and blasted her to the ground with a Pulse Cannon.
