"Uh, yes, I suppose I did deliberately deceive you."
Andrew did not deny it. With a wicked grin, he said, "Honestly, I've been looking forward to seeing your face when you learned the truth. Hahaha."
"Andrew! I'm officially telling you now: we're breaking up. I'll return everything you gave me. From now on, I want nothing to do with you."
Gwen shouted through gritted teeth. He had actually admitted it. Admitted it!

Gwen was rather bewildered. "Andrew, isn't it common knowledge that Spider-Man's abilities are genetic? How did they suddenly become magic? That's not scientific."

Andrew scoffed. "The Lizard, Extremis soldiers, Beast-men—those people with genuinely genetic abilities all have problems to some degree. As a biology student, you should know that perfectly well.
"Oh, right. I forgot you skip class every day."
"Stop bringing up my shortcomings!"
Gwen protested. After thinking it over, she said, "You do have a point. Spider-Man's abilities really are too perfect. Andrew, where do they come from?"

Andrew said, "There are many Spider-Men throughout the multiversal universe.
