"Yellow light... the Fear Ring?"
Andrew narrowed his eyes slightly. According to the plot, the Yellow Lantern Ring shouldn't have been created yet.
"A disgrace? I don't even know him."
Hal thought Andrew was joking and didn't take it seriously. "May I ask who you are?"
"Andrew Wang, Wonder Woman's boyfriend," Andrew said.
"Wonder Woman has a boyfriend? I imagine a lot of people will be heartbroken, myself included."
Hal looked positively green with envy. Andrew laughed. "That's fine. I enjoy seeing people heartbroken."
"Man, you're awful."
Hal shook his head, then took out the energy ring and lantern-shaped Green Lantern Power Battery the alien had given him. "I really didn't steal these. That alien said I was his successor. He gave them to me himself."
"Mind if I take a look?"
Andrew asked. Hal hesitated, then said, "Not at all. That alien died before he could tell me how to use the ring."
Andrew took the ring and focused his senses on it. Before long, he understood its entire structure, energy source, and functions.
"This ring contains a peculiar kind of willpower energy," Andrew explained. "With it, you can manifest all kinds of things.
"The stronger your will, the more powerful the ring. However, its energy is limited. Once it runs out, you need to recharge it with this power battery."
The Green Lantern Power Battery was essentially a power bank. All Green Lantern energy came from the Central Power Battery on Oa, and its ultimate source was the willpower energy within the emotional spectrum.
"Willpower energy? Manifesting all kinds of things?"
Hal was a little bewildered. Diana also asked in surprise, "Willpower energy? Isn't that a little too dependent on the mind?"
"This is a world where the mind shapes reality."
