While the alien's attention was absorbed by the arcade games, Batman and the others began making preparations to hit him hard.
Of course, that would come later. They still had to win this match. For one thing, as the good guys, they couldn't punish someone without warning. For another, they needed to buy Batman and Andrew time.
Batman and the others needed time to set things up, while Andrew needed time to analyze photon energy.
Andrew had been analyzing photon energy all along. Once he fully understood it, the alien's trump card would be nothing to worry about.
Setting that aside for now, the Sugar King smugly asked Andrew and the others, "Have you decided how you want to die?
"Of course, I'm a merciful man. I accept surrender, but you'll have to become bugs like me. Hahaha!"
As the Sugar King spoke, Cola Mountain's eruption gradually subsided. The bugs returned to normal, their eyes changing from blue back to green.
Then, under the Sugar King's command, the bugs split into three groups. One surrounded Andrew and Sergeant Calhoun, while another flew toward Ralph and his companions.
The final and largest group flew toward the Bifrost passage, ready to deal with the fighters from Street Fighter World.
Vanellope snapped, "We'd rather die than turn into something as disgusting as you."
"Exactly."
Everyone nodded in agreement. The Sugar King sneered. "Then die."
Just as the Sugar King was about to attack, a flood of game characters charged out of the entrance, led by a combat squad in full-body powered armor from Hero Mission.
A big fellow shouted, "Captain, we're here to back you up! They're just bugs, right? Killing bugs is our specialty!"
