"The person who sent me the information said there's a Super Engine in the New York Tower. If we destroy it, even Darkseid won't be able to get a replacement right away."
Damian said, "That would buy us at least another six months.
"As for who sent me the information, I honestly don't know. He uploaded it straight to our server.
"It might have been a super-scientist working in the Tower. To speed up construction, Darkseid has put quite a few human slaves to work on the Tower's precision tasks."
Iron Man and Batman exchanged a glance. The more they heard, the more it sounded like a trap.
"I know it sounds like a trap, but given Darkseid's temperament, if he discovered our location, he wouldn't go to all this trouble to lure us out. He'd send Mechanical Superman straight over to destroy us."
Damian said, "Besides, we don't have a choice right now. We can only take the gamble. We can worry about the future later. First, we need to buy Earth more time."
"Basically, we're turning a death sentence into a stay of execution."
Iron Man nodded. "Damian, take us to your headquarters. We need to consolidate all your data and intelligence and prepare to launch a counterattack."
"No problem. I'll give you access to everything."
Damian spoke excitedly. With the Justice League from a Parallel Universe here, Earth finally had hope. They were far stronger than this universe's Justice League.
Meanwhile, Diana and the other two women arrived at the location Andrew had designated. Diana was about to bury the crystal when Alice said, "We can't just bury it. We need to assemble the device first."
As she spoke, a mass of nano particles flew out of Alice's body and rapidly assembled a new device in midair.
