"Are you messing with me? Don't you scientists all like leaving backdoors in your own products?"

Hearing the alien's answer, Faora snapped, "Tony Stark and Batman both do it. Don't tell me you don't!"

"Faora, this is being broadcast live. Besides, I've never done anything like that in this world. You can say that about Batman, but leave me out of it."

Tony protested amid his hectic battle. The viewers laughed. They still trusted Iron Man quite a bit. As for Batman, one look at that gloomy fellow was enough to tell them he would tamper with his equipment.

Batman's expression darkened. Do you two have any manners?

The alien seemed deeply insulted and shouted, "Leave backdoors in my products? How could I possibly do something like that? Besides, the Serpent is our planet's most perfect product!"

"You could have one."

"I really don't."

Judging from his heartbeat, Faora determined that he wasn't lying. She asked, "Boss, he can't stop the Serpent. What should we do next?"

Andrew said, "Have him stop all the ordinary game characters. We'll deal with the Serpent in our own time."

"Yes, boss."

Faora told the alien, "Stop them right now. No tricks, or I won't mind burning you to ashes."

"Don't worry. No tricks, I promise."

The alien hurriedly assured her. When he had the upper hand earlier, he had been unbearably smug. Now that he was at a disadvantage, he was utterly spineless. He was a petty coward through and through.

As the alien pressed a button, all the game characters turned into pixel particles and returned to the alien spaceship.

These pixel particles were actually photon energy, which was recovered for reuse. The alien was quite environmentally conscious, though that was mainly because photon energy cost too much to produce.
