"There's another mastermind?"
Andrew's words stunned Jill. Then she asked, "Do you mean Ghost Rider?"
"You don't seriously think Ghost Rider would give these lowlifes a second glance, do you?"
Andrew sneered. "The zombies have absolutely nothing to do with Ghost Rider. He does want to destroy the world, but he wouldn't do it this way. He'd use his own flames to set the entire Earth ablaze.
"The real mastermind is someone else. He's using Ghost Rider's identity to make the Umbrella Corporation wipe out humanity and destroy the world.
"These people at the Umbrella Corporation are nothing but cannon fodder and pawns. Once it's over, they'll be eliminated too."
"What bastard would stoop that low?"
Jill cursed. She didn't doubt Andrew's words. After all, this really wasn't Ghost Rider's style. He was the cool guy who tackled things head-on, not some devious schemer.
"That's what we need to investigate."
Andrew said, "Jill, slip underground without a sound. I'll send someone else to impersonate you and keep fighting."
"Of course I'll help you investigate, Mr. Wang. Saving the world is everyone's responsibility."
Jill asked, "But why me? There are plenty of people here stronger than I am, aren't there?"
"Because your abilities are the best suited to it."
There was another reason Andrew hadn't mentioned: Jill was a main character in the Resident Evil series. With its heroine, Alice, nowhere to be found, she was the ideal choice.
Fate really was a remarkable thing.
