Barking and Whimpering

The hatred and Killing Intent of the weak were utterly meaningless.

They were just like the barking of a stray dog by the roadside.

Especially when fear or dread appeared in their hearts alongside hatred and Killing Intent, that still-barking dog would immediately become a broken-backed cur whimpering without end.

At least the original barking carried a negligible hint of threat.

The Lifeform called Death Grudge before Xi Shenlian was exactly like that.

Like a broken-backed cur.

And one that did not even dare to let out a whimper.

As a special Lifeform born from the combination of Negative Emotions such as Killing Intent and rage, Negative Energy, and certain accidental factors, it should never have developed emotions like fear or dread. It was, after all, a naturally brutal creature.

Even though fear and dread were also Negative Emotions, they were worlds apart from Killing Intent and rage... There was a vast gulf between them, and little common ground.

But it was a Lifeform.

A Lifeform born through an accidental twist of fate, possessing a certain degree of intelligence.

When faced with a crisis that posed a grave threat to its life.

Its survival instinct would inevitably cause certain emotions that had never emerged before to rapidly arise within it...
