"We'll know if we try." Without another word, Francois pulled an exquisite dagger from beneath his Mage Robe and cut his finger. The blood that seeped out was immediately drawn into the magic array.
"It's reacting. It still uses blood as a medium—what a barbaric god." Nemo frowned deeply. Once he saw it working, he drew a machete from his waist and gripped the blade with his left hand, pulling it across his palm. Bright red fluid dripped down, making the magic array blaze with light.
