Yu Xiaogang was a theorist at Nuoding Academy and a friend of its principal. He took Tang San as his sole closed-door disciple, seeing exceptional potential in Tang San's Innate Full Soul Power and Clear Sky Hammer Martial Soul. 4 6

After hearing that Xiao Tian's Martial Soul possessed sentience, Yu attempted to inspect it and offered to accept Xiao Tian as a registered disciple.
