Background

Qi Yu was originally an overworked employee who collapsed while playing Abandoned World with cheats enabled. He awakened in the body of the sole son of Qi Changshun, the Qi Family’s third son, retaining a familiar status panel that tracks realms, combat power, techniques, blessings, and Skill Points. Believing the world resembles the dangerous game, he resolves to become strong rather than rely on his privileged birth 1 2.

Before this change, Qi Yu had a notorious reputation as a spoiled dandy. He frequented brothels, gambling dens, and entertainment districts, pursued an Umbrella Sect follower with lavish gifts, and neglected his childhood engagement to Song Xue. His sudden decision to train at the Spirit Serpent Martial Hall initially leaves Song Qinghong and Song Xue doubtful of his sincerity 1.

He begins from an extremely weak foundation, injuring his hands on a sandbag and struggling to hold the Spirit Serpent Posture.
