Escape from the Zombie's Maw

He had only followed along and touched a tractor a few times when he saw others driving them in the countryside as a child. Recently, while out running errands, he took a taxi, and Wu Bin happened to watch the driver's skillful driving, praising him. As a result, the driver, on a whim, asked Zhao Tianlei if he knew how to drive. Zhao Tianlei admitted he didn't, so the driver immediately demonstrated for him: stepping on the brake, turning the key to start, releasing the brake, shifting gears, pressing the accelerator, and driving forward.

Zhao Tianlei ran to the film crew's cars and tried each door. Unfortunately, the first three cars were all locked. Finally, when he tried the fourth car door, it wasn't locked. Before Zhao Tianlei could dodge, the zombie hidden in the car lunged out, tackling Zhao Tianlei to the ground. Caught completely off guard, Zhao Tianlei was knocked down, and the fire axe in his hand was flung aside. After tackling Zhao Tianlei, the zombie immediately opened its mouth to bite at Zhao Tianlei's face. Zhao Tianlei was greatly alarmed and quickly reached out to grab the zombie's neck, thus avoiding a gruesome tearing.

Even though the zombie's neck was held by Zhao Tianlei, it saw a living prey beneath it. As if on stimulants, it desperately pushed down. Its bloody mouth opened and closed constantly in front of Zhao Tianlei, making his whole body go numb.

After this struggle, Zhao Tianlei realized that this zombie was about his age and of a slender build, but its strength was immense. Zhao Tianlei was using almost all his might just to barely resist the zombie's force. If Zhao Tianlei relaxed even slightly, the zombie would surely bite down. As Zhao Tianlei desperately fought back, he suddenly heard another strange noise from inside the car. It was likely another person.

Just as Zhao Tianlei was about to call for help, a person who looked like a female student emerged. However, the moment she looked up at Zhao Tianlei, all of Zhao Tianlei's hair stood on end. Judging by her figure alone, this female student was definitely a stunner. But what terrified Zhao Tianlei was that this seemingly sexy female student's face was half gone. To be precise, it had been torn apart by the male zombie on her.

Now, one zombie was already too much for Zhao Tianlei to handle. If this female zombie joined in, he would surely be torn to pieces. Zhao Tianlei had survived the first wave of outbreak, so he was absolutely unwilling to die here. In a panic, Zhao Tianlei quickly curled his legs and pushed against the zombie's abdomen, while one hand still held the zombie's neck and the other searched around.

It was a grassy area, and Zhao Tianlei had originally wanted to find a stone to use as a weapon to attack the zombie and survive. But after fumbling around, he felt something soft. Picking it up, he saw it was a wallet. It was clearly a man's wallet, likely dropped by the male zombie on him when it lunged from the car. However, Zhao Tianlei couldn't afford to miss this chance. He immediately grabbed the wallet and shoved it into the mouth of the zombie pinning him down.

The zombie had been trying to bite Zhao Tianlei for a while without success, and it was in a state of excited anticipation. Suddenly, something was being shoved into its mouth. The zombie immediately and excitedly bit down, not caring what it was. This situation gave Zhao Tianlei a sliver of a chance to escape.

In that instant, Zhao Tianlei used all his strength to push the male zombie aside. At the same time, the other female zombie was also about to crawl over. Zhao Tianlei quickly picked up the fire axe that had fallen to the ground and, with a mix of anger and the fear he had just experienced, swung it at the female zombie's head.

With that one swing, it was like cutting a watermelon; the female zombie's head exploded. At this moment, the male zombie that Zhao Tianlei had pushed aside finally realized that the thing in its mouth wasn't delicious. After a few bites, it prepared to lunge at Zhao Tianlei again. But before it could stand up, Zhao Tianlei was a step ahead. He swung the fire axe in his hand and chopped off the zombie's head with another blow. Afterward, Zhao Tianlei didn't even look back and rushed into the car. This time, Zhao Tianlei had learned his lesson and was more cautious. He looked through the car window and, seeing no zombies in the front or back seats, got into the driver's seat and attempted to start the car.

Relying on his memory, Zhao Tianlei tried several times before finally starting the car. Fortunately, it was an automatic transmission, so he didn't need to worry about the clutch. For someone like Zhao Tianlei who had never driven before, starting the car was almost the hardest part. Considering that driving too fast might cause him to flip the car, Zhao Tianlei pressed the accelerator lightly for the first time, and the car shot forward. Startled, he quickly eased off the gas, and after the car stopped, he slowly pressed the accelerator to move forward.

Controlling his speed, Zhao Tianlei drove directly towards the stage on the sports field. The roar of the car immediately attracted the attention of the zombies below the stage. Especially the zombies on the outer perimeter, who abandoned their prey on the stage and turned to charge at Zhao Tianlei.

However, the car was moving at a relatively fast speed, and the zombies' sluggish steps were no match for it. But due to the large number of zombies and Zhao Tianlei being an absolute novice, he even knocked over a few during the drive and violently ran over them.

To completely lure the zombies away, Zhao Tianlei slowed down the car and drove back and forth in the vicinity. The roar of the car eventually attracted most of the zombies. It was unclear what thoughts the zombies had, but they abandoned their prey on the stage and almost all chased after the car driven by Zhao Tianlei.

Just then, Wu Bin, who had come with Zhao Tianlei, suddenly appeared from the side. He kicked down a zombie at the edge of the stage and urgently shouted to the students on the stage, "What are you all standing around for? Hurry up and get down and run!"
