Background / History

At age 24, Zheng Bingyan was the chairwoman and legal representative of Yuzhou City's Tianqi Entertainment Company. Under her leadership, the company expanded from fewer than ten employees to hundreds within just over a year, launching mobile games and establishing dedicated R&D, production, art, and maintenance teams. She also acted as the company’s own advertising spokesperson rather than hiring outside celebrities. 55 136

During the early apocalypse, she prioritized her employees’ safety over her own. Gu Weiping and Yamada exploited this sense of responsibility by luring Zheng Bingyan and Tong Yuxin into a supposed escape plan, binding them and attempting to assault them. Zhao Tianlei and Li Xuyang interrupted the attack and rescued both women. 65 68

After the rescue, Zheng Bingyan sought revenge against Gu Weiping and Yamada, even taking up Zhao Tianlei’s fire axe. She could not bring herself to kill them, however, revealing that her anger did not overcome her reluctance to take a life. 70
