The Matriarch

Dark Elves were a matriarchal race.

The female elves known as matriarchs controlled different families and occupied the upper echelons of Drow society.

Although Dark Elves, like the other races, had descended upon the Chaotic Continent, their doctrine of female superiority and male inferiority remained difficult to change.

The reason was that aside from purchasing troops individually, the only troop buildings Dark Elf lords could obtain were the families managed by individual matriarchs.

As a result, quite a few male Dark Elves were killed by the Dark Elf families they ruled not long after descending upon the Chaotic Continent.

The notion of female supremacy and male subordination had sunk deep into the heart of every Drow. They absolutely refused to let male Dark Elves—mere "tools"—rule over them, and the vast majority of male Drow thought the same way.

The lord of Mosuo City was a female Dark Elf, as well as the current matriarch of a long-standing family in Dark Elf history.

Thus, after descending upon the Chaotic Continent, the first Extraordinary Troop this lord summoned was her own Mosuo Family.
