Woooooo!
The ear-splitting whistle woke Xiao Yeci.
Xiao Yeci rubbed her eyes and looked out the porthole. Beyond the window was pitch-black darkness.
She yawned, ready to turn over and go back to sleep, when Liang Wucai entered the room, jumped onto the bed, pinned Xiao Yeci down, and gave her a thorough scratching from head to toe.
After struggling for quite a while, Xiao Yeci said irritably, "Stop fooling around! It's the dead of night, what are you making such a fuss for?"
Liang Wu laughed. "Dead of night? Take a look at what time it is."
Xiao Yeci opened her pocket watch and saw that it was nine o'clock.
"Is that in the morning or at night?"
"Morning, of course. Come on, let's go have breakfast!"
Xiao Yeci covered her head with a pillow. "I'm not eating. I'm going back to sleep for a while."
Liang Cai pulled Xiao Yeci up. "Our ship has docked at an island. Perhaps our hearts, too, will find a harbor here."
"What harbor? There are plenty of harbors in dreams!" Still bleary-eyed, Xiao Yeci followed the sisters downstairs to the second-floor dining room.
The passenger ship had three levels of cabins in all. The first level was a grand hall where dances could be held.
The second level had a dining room, cinema, study, tea room, and observation deck.
The third level held the bedrooms: twelve rooms in total, six suites and six single rooms. The conditions were far better than on the soil-changing ship.
Xiao Yeci and Liang Wucai sat in the dining room, and a waiter immediately brought them a menu.
Though the dining room was nicely furnished, there were very few dishes. They were at sea, where ingredients were limited, and the edible fare was the same few items
