White Night attempted to establish a branch in Star Engraving Prefecture despite fears that Stargazer’s disciples included moles. The branch expanded quickly, assembling operatives from other regions for an armed coup timed around the Saint’s Relic’s unsealing. 23 57 59

The Star Engraving operation failed when Lan Yan exposed White Night’s plans and revealed that he had infiltrators within the organization. The attempted decapitation strike against Prefect Ding Yi was turned to Lan Yan’s advantage, leaving the Walkers trapped and outmaneuvered. 62 63

In Profound Candle Prefecture, White Night faced a more entrenched opponent in the Silver Blood Society. It pursued factories as secure places to gather people, conceal members, manufacture weapons, and conduct training, then used access created through Jing Zhengwei’s influence to expand rapidly among factory supervisors and workers. 94 231
