"But the request is to destroy the moon. If we accepted the job but can't do it, it'll damage Fairy Tail's reputation."

"If we can't do it, then we can't do it." Gray's voice rose slightly.

"Quiet, all of you!" Chen Fan shouted.

Everyone immediately fell silent. Chen Fan's long-established authority showed itself at once.

Natsu whispered to Gray and Lucy, "I'm going to sleep. We'll talk tomorrow." With that, he tiptoed toward his bed. Gray swiftly stripped off his clothes, moving so fast that in the blink of an eye, his clothes had flown off to who knew where.

Lucy was feeling tired too, so she turned off the lights and lay down. Suddenly, she opened her eyes and cried, "Ah! A beast, a pervert, and a lecher—how am I supposed to sleep...?"

"Shut up!" Four voices rang out. This time, Happy joined in as well. Lucy covered her head with the blanket in grievance, afraid that something bad would happen if she woke Chen Fan and the others.

Moon Temple

"Ah... I slept so well." Chen Fan stretched and spoke. Then he saw Lucy coming out of the room and greeted her. "Good morning, Lucy."

"Good... morning..." Lucy replied weakly, with huge dark circles beneath her eyes.

"What's wrong? Are you sick?" Chen Fan continued, reaching a hand toward Lucy's forehead.

"Ah, I'm fine. Nothing's wrong," Lucy said, forcing herself to perk up as she subtly dodged Chen Fan's hand.

Chen Fan felt a little depressed. Lucy really thought he was some kind of lecher. Just then, Natsu, Gray, and Happy came out of the room as well. After greeting Chen Fan and Lucy, they quickly set off together.

Lucy summoned a giant clock and jumped inside. Natsu and Gray chatted idly about what they would do if the moon disappeared, but somehow their conversation kept circling back to food. Chen Fan could not help thinking of his hometown. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, they would admire the moon and eat mooncakes. He had never thought they tasted all that good before, but now he truly wanted to eat mooncakes from his hometown again.

Suddenly, heavy thump, thump footsteps rang out, jolting Chen Fan from his memories. He turned around and saw a huge blue-green rat slowly walking toward them.

"Get over here!" Gray shouted at Chen Fan. After that, he formed Modeling Magic with both hands and yelled, "Ice Shield!"

With a whoosh, a shield made of ice appeared in front of Gray. Although they were hiding behind the Ice Shield, Chen Fan still felt that something was wrong. Yet he could not remember what had happened in the original story.

A fart sounded with a pfft. Chen Fan finally remembered what was going on and hurriedly used his psychic powers to block out the gas around his body. In his panic, he even cut off the oxygen, turning his face bright red from holding his breath. He ran together with Gray and the others, completely forgetting to fight back.

"Ice Bed!" Gray finally found an opening and used Modeling Magic.

With a bang, the giant rat slipped and fell.

"If you had used that move earlier, wouldn't everything have been fine?!" Natsu and Chen Fan shouted at Gray together.

"Stop complaining," Gray retorted.

Suddenly, Lucy spotted a building off to one side and shouted at Chen Fan and the others, "Look! There's a building over there. Let's go there while we have the chance."

"That's right, let's beat it up while we can! Hahaha, hahaha..." Lucy turned around and saw Natsu, Gray, and Chen Fan punching and kicking the giant rat. As Chen Fan beat it, he shouted, "That's for farting on me! Take this! Take this! Oh... oh, take that! Take that!" Natsu and Gray were not much better than Chen Fan.

"You guys..." Lucy no longer had the strength to complain.

After beating it for a while, Chen Fan and the others finally vented their anger. They followed Lucy into the Moon Temple. Before them stood an ancient, weathered wall, and hanging on it was an emblem shaped like the moon.

"What ancient ruins... Moon Island, the Moon Curse, the Moon Emblem... Is there some connection between them?" Lucy murmured.

"Who cares what connection they have? Anyway, these ruins are really ancient. Is this floor safe?" As he spoke, Natsu stomped on the floor with bang, bang.

"Hey, don't stomp around!" Gray shouted at Natsu. Chen Fan was carefully studying the mural. When things were boring, that was one of the best ways to pass the time.

The moment Chen Fan saw Natsu stomping on the floor, he had a bad feeling. Sure enough, with a rumble, the floor collapsed. He quickly used his psychic powers to alter the direction of his own gravity, and added the same effect to Lucy. As for those thick-skinned guys Gray and Natsu, he let them suffer a little.
