"They're the ones. Open the gate," Lucy said to the people above.

"Yes."

Lucy clenched her right fist and said confidently, "All right, come on."

"Oh... Lucy! Is everyone okay?" Chen Fan ran over happily when he saw Lucy, not even looking where he was stepping.

"Ah..."

"Chen Fan!"

"No, don't come over!"

"What did you say?"

"Stop!"

"What?"

"Ah!"

"Bang..."

Everyone stared dumbfounded as Chen Fan fell down. "People really can fall into it."

"I'm pretty surprised too."

"Failure. I'm certain now—it wasn't Chen Fan who saved me," Lucy said with conviction.

"Hey, hey, hey! Who pulled this prank in a place like this?" Chen Fan complained unhappily from the bottom of the pit.

"It definitely wasn't Lucy," Happy said from above.

Chen Fan suddenly understood. "So it was her after all."

"It wasn't!"

"But thank goodness, Chen Fan is okay now," Happy said from above the pit.

Chen Fan was feeling pretty depressed. He had actually fallen for such an obvious trap. What did Happy mean, he was okay? He shouted at Happy, who was still making sarcastic remarks, "Get over here, you little cat! Carry me up, or I'll make sure you never get to eat fish again."

Lucy jumped in fright and covered her cheeks. "Ah... then aren't I doomed?"

"Don't worry. As long as you change the subject and make him forget what just happened, it'll be fine. Chen Fan is very forgetful." Happy gave Lucy an idea. Lucy gave Happy a thumbs-up, and the girl and cat chuckled sinisterly together.

At that moment, a villager pulled Village Chief Mocha aside and said, "Village Chief, are these people really okay?" He glanced at Chen Fan, who was still fixing the trap, and at Happy and Lucy, who were still chuckling sinisterly, his tone somewhat worried.
