Chen Fan defeated Ostach, drew closer to Himeragi Yukina, and tangled with Aoba Asagi and Shishihua as the Black Death Emperor Faction threatened the island’s peace. The arc left Yukina asked to become Chen Fan’s girlfriend and Asagi avoiding him at school.

• Chen Fan and Himeragi Yukina stopped Ostach’s attack, and Chen Fan killed him before learning that Toritos had subdued the Familiar inside Astalut.
• Yukina chose to stay with Chen Fan as his monitor, and she moved into the room across from him while he grew closer to Akatsuki Sand and Aoba Asagi.
• Chen Fan and Aoba Asagi survived a magical attack at school, then Chen Fan learned from Shigure Yomi that the Lion King Organization had sent Yukina to watch him because of Akatsuki Sand.
• Chen Fan attended Vattra’s gathering with Yukina, where Shishihua confronted him and Vattra revealed that the Black Death Emperor Faction sought to abolish the Sanctuary Treaty and seize control of War King's Domain.
• Chen Fan and Yukina returned home, where Asagi’s visit sparked a jealous argument between the two girls, and Chen Fan later asked Yukina to become his girlfriend.
• Chen Fan and Yukina consulted Nangong Natsuki about the faction, and Natsuki said it was a minor threat under investigation while Chen Fan vowed to protect his sisters.
• Nangong Natsuki questioned Chen Fan about the girls he pursued, and Chen Fan returned to class to find Asagi snubbing him.

Chen Fan's rooftop reunion with Aoba Asagi was interrupted by Shishihua's arrival and a kidnapping by the Black Death Emperor Faction. He rescued Asagi, destroyed the Ancient Weapons and defeated Kristoff, then returned home with Himeragi Yukina as Shishihua and Asagi went their separate ways.

• Aoba Asagi offered Chen Fan a homemade bento, but Shishihua interrupted their rooftop moment and attacked him, prompting Himeragi Yukina to confront her about the Lion King Organization's plan for Yukina to marry Chen Fan.
• Chen Fan admitted he had learned of the plan and feared Yukina would leave him, and Yukina chose to stay, and Shishihua later reconciled with Yukina, kissed Chen Fan, and left to pursue her mission.
• Christoph Gadolux's men kidnapped Aoba Asagi, and Shishihua fought them before telling Chen Fan she had been taken to Artificial Island Thirteen.
• Chen Fan and Shishihua stormed the island, found Aoba Asagi, and escaped the collapsing structure after Major Kristoff activated the Ancient Weapon Nalak'varla.
• Chen Fan destroyed Nalak'varla and fought Kristoff's remaining Ancient Weapons, while Aoba Asagi and Shishihua declared their feelings for him.
• Chen Fan crushed Kristoff and the final Ancient Weapon, then met Nangong Natsuki and apologized to Himeragi Yukina for leaving without telling her.
• Shishihua left to report to the Lion King Organization, and Aoba Asagi went home, and Chen Fan and Himeragi Yukina returned together, where he admitted he liked both Yukina and Shishihua.

Chen Fan’s household and school life expanded as Kouzaka Shishihua joined his class and he helped Yohase Kanon find homes for abandoned kittens. When Chen Fan and Nangong Natsuki investigated the Masked Bringers, they discovered Kanon was one of them, and Chen Fan set out to find the experimenter and save her.

• Kouzaka Shishihua moved in with Chen Fan and Himeragi Yukina, then transferred into Chen Fan’s class to monitor him for the Lion King Organization.
• Chen Fan and Akatsuki Sand grew closer during a shopping trip, while the Fourth True Ancestor secretly tasted Chen Fan’s blood through Sand’s body.
• Chen Fan’s jealousy and possessiveness caused trouble at school, but he joined Akatsuki Sand, Himeragi Yukina, Shishihua, and Yohase Kanon in finding homes for Kanon’s abandoned kittens.
• Nangong Natsuki told Chen Fan that modified humans called Masked Bringers had caused destruction across the western district and asked for his help capturing the remaining suspects.
• At Tidis Mall, Chen Fan fought two Masked Bringers whose attacks threatened nearby buildings and civilians, while Himeragi Yukina and Shishihua joined the battle.
• After one Masked Bringer began devouring the other to evolve, Chen Fan damaged its mask and discovered Yohase Kanon beneath it.
• Kanon released control of her body and flew into the night, so Chen Fan decided to find the experimenter and save her as Nangong Natsuki secured the falling tower.

Chen Fan uncovered Megascraft’s experiment on Yohase Kanon, defeated the being possessing her, and helped expose the company’s crimes. After returning to school, Kanon recovered and began drawing closer to Chen Fan, as the Boroin Festival approached.

• Chen Fan went with Himeragi Yukina and Shishihua to Megascraft’s deserted island, where they discovered a bunker and encountered the stranded La Folia.
• La Folia explained Kanon’s royal lineage, while Chen Fan learned that Yohase Kensho and Beatrice had used Kanon in an experiment to create a Simulated Angel.
• Beatrice activated Kanon’s transformation, and Chen Fan fought the higher-dimensional being controlling her as Beatrice and Kirishima attacked La Folia, Xuecai, and Shishihua.
• Chen Fan transformed, defeated the creature, restored Kanon to her original form, and explained that the experiment had threatened to consume her soul.
• Nangong Natsuki’s group arrived, and Yohase Kensho was taken into custody while Chen Fan told the girls a largely fabricated story about his exploits.
• La Folia kissed Chen Fan before leaving, and the girls confronted and punished him, and afterward, Chen Fan returned home and was lectured by Akatsuki Sand.
• During the Boroin Festival preparations, Chen Fan reunited with Sakimaki and Nangong Natsuki, then invited Aoba Asagi to attend the festival with him.
• Kanon returned from the hospital and asked to stay at Chen Fan’s house, where Chen Fan hosted her, Tsukishima Rin, Aoba Asagi, and others for a meal celebrating her recovery.
