Shaoyao's posture was defensive, displaying an expression of defiant submission.
But she knew she couldn't escape Qin Xiangyi's clutches. Resigned, she closed her eyes, awaiting Qin Xiangyi's kiss.
However, the kiss never came. Instead, Qin Xiangyi ran away.
System: Flower Fairy discovered—Feng Yourou.
Chapter 09-1: Finally Free~
A Flower Fairy is a human who can plant flower seeds, aside from the Flower God. Unlike following the Flower God, Flower Fairies have a 100% success rate when planting, but only one chance in their lifetime.
Most importantly, the Flower People they cultivate possess extremely rare active and passive skills.
After so long at the Baichi Sanatorium, this was the first time Qin Xiangyi had heard the system's notification for discovering a Flower Fairy. She frantically searched her surroundings and finally spotted a beautiful woman wearing glasses in the distance.
Name: Feng Yourou.
Age: 26.
Occupation: Teacher.
Physique: Flower Fairy (Can plant flower seeds)
First Kiss Target: None.
More detailed information followed, but Qin Xiangyi didn't examine it closely. Instead, she began observing the woman named Feng Yourou.
"Shaoyao, look! A Flower Fairy appeared. Once I plant a new Flower Person, you won't have to worry about me bothering you anymore."
Qin Xiangyi conversed with Shaoyao in her mind. Due to Qin Xiangyi's constant pestering, Shaoyao's affection had risen from -10 to 50. They were now considered friends. Hearing Qin Xiangyi's jest, Shaoyao snorted in displeasure.
"You're fickle. Who knows what you'll end up planting," she grumbled, sounding somewhat displeased. Qin Xiangyi chuckled and continued in a lighthearted tone, "Then, Shaoyao, I'll bet you that this woman named Feng Yourou will grow a Gardenia."
Shaoyao's displeasure grew. "A Gardenia? I have a connection with her. If it were possible to grow her, I would have sensed it."
Seeing Shaoyao taking the bait, Qin Xiangyi felt as if the Eidetic Memory skill was beckoning her.
"Then let's make that bet."
Shaoyao nervously asked, "What are we betting?"
"If I lose, I won't force you to absorb Spiritual Energy every day."
Shaoyao seemed tempted but ultimately asked, "And if you win?"
Qin Xiangyi feigned contemplation before cheerfully replying, "Then you'll have to accept my Spiritual Power every day, until I decide it's enough."
Hearing Qin Xiangyi's terms, Shaoyao wore a strange expression. Still, she asked in a very hesitant tone, "Flower Master, I have a question, please don't be angry."
"Ask away?"
Seeing Qin Xiangyi's calm demeanor, Shaoyao finally voiced her question cautiously.
"Do you... like women?"
Qin Xiangyi was somewhat speechless. But she couldn't reveal her golden finger for skill absorption, so she gave a perfunctory answer, "If I liked women, would I still be bothering you?"
"What do you mean?" Shaoyao was confused.
"If I liked women, I would only ever like Huangquan... Wait, I just remembered everyone can see outside... Huangquan, please don't take that seriously. I was just teasing Shaoyao, that silly girl."
Qin Xiangyi felt a mix of amusement and exasperation. Shaoyao, however, looked at Qin Xiangyi with an increasingly strange expression. Then, in the blink of an eye, she disappeared.
System: Flower Fairy Feng Yourou has left the Flower Master's vicinity.
System: 100 meters...
System: 180 meters...
Qin Xiangyi regained her composure and quickly caught up to Feng Yourou. Secretly, she instructed Shaoyao to cut open Feng Yourou's bag, retrieve the notebook containing her biggest secret, and write her contact information and a message on it.
She was confident that Feng Yourou would react...
Unfortunately, by the last week of August, Qin Xiangyi was about to leave the Baichi Sanatorium, but Feng Yourou's call still hadn't come.
Qin Xiangyi had changed out of her hospital gown and was sitting in her room, formally waiting for something.
A moment later, the door opened, and a woman who looked only slightly over thirty entered.
The woman wore exquisite clothing. Her appearance was both mature and beautiful, her face adorned with meticulous makeup, yet it couldn't hide her haggard look, as if she had recently endured some hardship. Upon seeing Qin Xiangyi, her eyes welled up, and a flash of hatred and regret crossed them.
This was Zhang Mou, Qin Xiangyi's mother and the mother of Prince Qin.
Zhang Mou was her name, a name Qin Xiangyi had casually given her when she was too lazy to come up with one.
The Qin family valued sons over daughters. Zhang Mou doted on her son, Prince Qin, but felt little affection for her stepdaughter, Qin Xiangyi. However, in the story, Qin Xiangyi had a kind grandfather whose intervention saved her life.
As for sending Qin Xiangyi to the Baichi Sanatorium to be confined with mentally ill patients, that was her mother Zhang Mou's punishment for Qin Xiangyi.
Prince Qin had become a living dead person. Because of this incident, Qin Xiangyi had been disowned by the Qin family. Aside from still bearing the Qin surname, she had lost all the prestige of a noble heir.
"Let's go," Zhang Mou said to Qin Xiangyi, uttering only those words.
Qin Xiangyi nodded and followed Zhang Mou out of the room. The path was long, but neither of them spoke. Zhang Mou showed no intention of carrying Qin Xiangyi's luggage.
Qin Xiangyi, too, had no intention of apologizing. Whether in reality or in this world, Qin Xiangyi felt numb to the concept of family affection.
System: Flower Fairy discovered—Jing Shuxuan.
Suddenly, the system, which had been quiet until now, emitted a notification sound.
Xiangyi instinctively stopped in her tracks and looked around, spotting a car not far away.
If her memory served her correctly, Shuxuan's original setting was Prince Qin's fiancée. A typical strong woman, but one who was unfulfilled and ultimately ended up in a marriage alliance with the Qin family.
But Xiangyi hadn't expected to encounter Shuxuan after leaving the sanatorium. Moreover, she had only established Shuxuan's character profile and hadn't described any of her circumstances. Shuxuan's appearance had truly caught Xiangyi off guard.
"You'll stay at your sister Shuxuan's place for the next few days."
However, according to the established settings, Xiangyi had a good relationship with Shuxuan. With this in mind, Xiangyi nodded. She saw Zhang Mou standing in place, seemingly not intending to approach.
Xiangyi didn't force the issue. She walked over and saw the window roll down, revealing a beautiful, alluring face.
Compared to Muning's pure and lovely demeanor, Shuxuan's eyes held a capable and assertive air. Upon seeing Xiangyi, she tossed the documents from the passenger seat to the back and opened the car door.
Seeing this, Xiangyi also placed her suitcase in the trunk before getting into the car.
Shuxuan continued her phone call, gesturing to the seatbelt and indicating for Xiangyi to fasten it. Although Xiangyi was a little unaccustomed to it, she obediently complied. Shuxuan then put down her phone and switched to Bluetooth hands-free, incredibly busy.
Bored, Xiangyi's gaze wandered. She didn't have the memories of this world's Xiangyi, and Shuxuan was a complete stranger to her. Fearing she might say something wrong, Xiangyi decided to remain silent.
Chapter 10 - A XXX Falls From the Sky
However, Shaoyao, who had been following Xiangyi, was different. She floated in the air, gazing curiously at the city that had changed so much.
Because of the Flower God Ring, the Flower People couldn't stray too far from Xiangyi. This was also Shaoyao's first time seeing the outside world. She watched intently, filled with anticipation and longing for this new world.
Xiangyi shifted her posture, leaning against the window with one hand, her movements gentle and slow, adding a touch of coolness to the sweltering summer heat.
Finally, Shuxuan ended her call and glanced at Xiangyi from the corner of her eye.
"Xiao Yi, you seem to be doing well." Shedding the composed and capable demeanor from her phone call, Shuxuan's attitude was gentle, and her tone conveyed that they likely had a good relationship.
"I'm alright."
"Was it scary inside?"
"Not really."
"After all, you did something even more terrifying." Shuxuan suddenly added meaningfully.
Xiangyi adjusted her glasses and looked at Shuxuan, who was driving. "Do you really believe I made Prince Qin a vegetable?"
"I don't know, but I believe you."
Shuxuan tossed the ball back, leaving Xiangyi unsure whether her words were sincere or feigned. Xiangyi didn't continue the conversation, her gaze drifting out the window. She felt Shuxuan's eyes on her.
"You seem to have become quiet."
"Isn't that good? It allows you to concentrate on driving." Xiangyi smiled, noticing Shuxuan seemed a bit distracted and offering a perfunctory reminder.
"Nonsense, my driving skills are excellent now." Shuxuan's face flushed slightly at the comment, as if recalling something. She didn't press further.
Xiangyi breathed a sigh of relief. She had no idea what her own personality was like in this world, let alone how to act when encountering people who knew Xiangyi.
She had to start everything from scratch: familiarize herself with this world and find a way to leave it.
However, encountering someone as intelligent as Shuxuan right at the beginning put a lot of pressure on Xiangyi.
While martial force could solve many problems, it wasn't a panacea.
Xiangyi had only written a rough outline: character profiles, world-building, and introductions to the forty-eight harem members and main characters. To be honest, she didn't know how much this world could be embellished.
But the one thing she was certain of was that she had made this world very dangerous.
As if to celebrate Xiangyi's release from the sanatorium, with a loud bang, someone fell from the sky and crashed onto the car in front of them.
The driver was killed instantly, but the man who fell out emerged from the wreckage as if unharmed. He smiled sheepishly at Xiangyi and Shuxuan behind him, then leaped up and quickly disappeared from sight.
"Another Cultivator." Shuxuan frowned slightly, her eyes betraying an undisguised disgust for the term she uttered.
"Sister Xuan, do you really dislike Cultivators?" Xiangyi couldn't help but ask.
"Not just Cultivators, I dislike Ability Users too." Shuxuan's emotions seemed to flare up as she gripped the steering wheel tightly, as if restraining herself.
Clearly, in the plot that Xiangyi was unaware of, Shuxuan had significant conflicts with these Chosen Ones.
Cultivators referred to Eastern cultivators, primarily focused on immortal cultivation. Even a mere Grandmaster could rule and dominate in the Heavenly Kingdom.
Ability Users referred to Western heroes, similar to Spider-Man or Superman, who gained their powers.
In addition to Cultivators and Ability Users, there were five other types of ability users, collectively known as Chosen Ones. However, Xiangyi hadn't written that detailed yet, so she didn't know how this world would interpret it.
Before long, several police officers on motorcycles appeared, skillfully handling the accident scene and searching for the Cultivator who had caused the crash.
This was also why no one questioned Xiangyi after she turned Prince Qin into a vegetable. They saw Xiangyi as a Chosen One and feared she might go mad and kill them all.
Chosen Ones were roughly one in ten million, a very small number, yet possessing immense power. Therefore, the Heavenly Kingdom would never waste such valuable resources.
If a Chosen One made a mistake, they would be sent to the Baichi Sanatorium for "loving education" rather than being killed outright. However, Xiangyi hadn't shown much talent during her tests, and with the Qin family's influence, it was merely a formality.
Xiangyi hadn't known these things initially; Shuxuan had told her.
"Sister Xuan, you dislike them, yet you know so much." Xiangyi felt that Shuxuan was hiding secrets. It was likely that every person identified as a Flower Fairy had a secret.
This secret drove the plot forward and facilitated relationships. As long as one found this secret, they could win the other's heart. Of course, Xiangyi was a woman, so she didn't need that.
All she needed was two kisses.
One was for planting flower seeds, and the other was for summoning Flower People. Unfortunately, due to Xiangyi's peculiar taste, this kiss required mutual consent.
Forced kisses, kisses in dreams, or even those from games of Truth or Dare wouldn't count. Furthermore, each kiss had to last at least one minute. If she encountered an exceptional Flower Person, the duration would need to be at least three minutes.
Xiangyi had undoubtedly set an incredibly high bar for her own survival. Now, she could only swallow her tears and ponder how to proceed with the storyline alongside Shuxuan.
The best approach would naturally be a mutually beneficial exchange, but Xiangyi's current abilities were too weak. It seemed she couldn't resolve Shuxuan's issues at the moment.
With this in mind, Xiangyi decided to first activate the flower seed planted on Muning. However, she knew absolutely nothing about Muning's current situation and her phone had been confiscated, making finding Muning like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Xiangyi couldn't help but look out the window, feeling that the wind today was too boisterous, causing her eyes to ache. She took off her glasses, trying to rub her eyes to alleviate the discomfort, only to discover she could see everything clearly.
Upon closer inspection, she realized that despite the thick lenses, the glasses had no prescription. She had initially thought it was due to activating the Flower God Ring, but now, seeing that she could clearly perceive her surroundings, she realized Xiangyi wasn't actually nearsighted.
The question was, for what reason had Xiangyi been hiding her appearance?
"Sister Xuan, do you have a mirror in your car?" Xiangyi asked curiously. Shuxuan turned her head, but upon seeing Xiangyi's face, she slammed on the brakes.
Her body lurched forward due to inertia. If Xiangyi hadn't been wearing her seatbelt, she believed she would have been the first person to die in a car accident after transmigrating.
