Milky Way Calendar, March 6, 2022.
An ordinary, yet far from peaceful, day.
AB1698 Resource Planet.
Human Federation Number Twenty-Three Military Base.
A Large Warship, five kilometers high and over a hundred kilometers long, sat silently upon the launch platform.
Its entire body was black as ink, forged from superalloy. Even the impact of a planet could not leave a single mark upon it.
Inside, it was equipped with the Human Race's most advanced defense systems.
Once its Defense Shield was activated, so long as its energy was not depleted, it could pass through Cosmic Storms and black holes without obstruction.
It lay across the launch platform like a colossal cosmic beast capable of roaming the stars.
Massive, brimming with endless oppressive force.
Yet the Space Warship before them was merely an unmanned Large Warship carrying no weapon systems—not even Mechas or fighter jets.
At the open hatch, unmanned transport vehicles carried Stasis Pods one after another into the Large Warship.
Under the control of the Large Warship's AI Brain, they were delivered to their designated locations.
"Holy shit, I checked the records. The last batch of Serious Criminals sent to the Exile Planet only numbered 7,223 in total."
"This time, there are over 26,500! Just how many of them are actually real Serious Criminals?"
"Who the hell knows how many are real, but one thing's for sure—the real Serious Criminals definitely make up less than half."
"Has the Federal Government gone insane? They're sending more than ten thousand people into the Exile Planet at once to get close to Yi Chen? Do those idiots not know that the more people try to approach Yi Chen, the easier it is to expose themselves?"
"If Yi Chen really learns the truth, the consequences will be unthinkable!"
"Those chairmen and council members in Federal Parliament are pigs, plain and simple! We can all think of these problems, yet they can't?"
The citizens watching the live stream cursed loudly.
"I'm afraid it's not just people from Federal Parliament. There are probably people from all kinds of factions too. For all we know, there may even be spies from the Myriad Races."
"No way, right? No matter how useless the Federal Government is, surely it wouldn't let spies from the Myriad Races slip in."
"Who knows? As long as there's profit in it, those officials in Federal Parliament would sell even their own fathers!"
"It's all those bastards' fault for yelling that the Federal Parliament's plans shouldn't be disrupted. If we'd known so many Fake Serious Criminals had slipped in, and that there might even be spies from the Myriad Races, we should've raised hell until the Federal Government abandoned this plan."
"Yeah! Too bad it's already too late to make a fuss now."
"Damn it, I'm going to smash the Federal Parliament Headquarters Building later. Who's coming with me? As long as there are over a million people and there's no conspiracy involved, Federation law says we won't bear any responsibility."
"I'm on the planet where the Federal Parliament Headquarters Building is located. I'm in!"
"Wait for me—I'm buying a ticket right now."
"Save it! It's not the first time the Federal Parliament Headquarters Building has been smashed. Those council members don't care at all. It's not like they pay the repair costs anyway—the wool still comes off our backs."
"Then it still has to be smashed. Otherwise, I can't vent the hatred in my heart."
"That's right. We have to smash it."
The enraged citizens quickly reached a consensus: those on the planet where the Federal Parliament Headquarters Building stood, and who had the time, would all go smash the Council's Headquarters Building.
Yet no matter how furious the citizens were, no matter how cheated they felt, they could not stop the transport vehicles from delivering the Serious Criminals into the Space Warship.
Once all the Serious Criminals' Stasis Pods had been transported aboard.
Under the AI Brain's control, the Space Warship, like a steel colossus, slowly began to rise.
After entering space, it headed toward its predetermined coordinates.
Its speed grew faster and faster—sub-light speed, light speed, faster-than-light speed...
An hour later, the enormous Warp Drive began operating.
Terrifying amounts of energy were rapidly consumed.
More than ten seconds later, the Space Warship vanished into the vastness of space.
Crossing several thousand light-years, it appeared in space only 0.1 light-years away from the Exile Planet.
After inspecting the readings from all the Space Warship's instruments, it began advancing toward the Exile Planet.
Following a brief acceleration, the Space Warship closed the distance to the Exile Planet at dozens of times the speed of light.
Before long, it entered the Cosmic Storm Zone.
In the starry expanse between 0.05 and 0.1 light-years from the Exile Planet lay a Cosmic Storm Belt.
This place was filled with Cosmic Storms so terrifying they could tear any star into powder.
Countless high-intensity Meteorite Swarms could be found everywhere as well.
It was precisely the existence of this Cosmic Storm Belt that made the Exile Planet the ideal place for the Human Race to exile Serious Criminals.
The Energy Shields of medium and Small Warships simply could not pass through Cosmic Storms.
Although Warp Jump Technology could fold space for transportation, it could not directly transport anything into bizarre cosmic regions such as Cosmic Storms or black holes.
In other words, no warship could use the Warp Jump System to directly transport itself into the eye of a Cosmic Storm—the region near the Exile Planet.
Relying on an Energy Shield with unimaginably powerful defense, the Space Warship sped through the terrifying Cosmic Storms without hindrance.
Ten hours later, it successfully passed through the Cosmic Storm Zone.
After a brief period of adjustment, it sped toward the Exile Planet at full speed.
Another six or seven hours later, it smoothly arrived in the outer space of the Exile Planet and joined up with another unmanned Large Warship.
After the AI Brains of the two Large Warships completed their data handover.
The Large Warship that had previously monitored the Exile Planet began returning to base.
The newly arrived Large Warship opened its hatches instead.
Unmanned Transport Planes carried the Stasis Pods to random locations across the Exile Planet, then retrieved every one of the Stasis Pods.
More than 26,000 Serious Criminals dressed in animal skin clothing were officially deployed upon the Exile Planet.
Some unlucky bastards were swallowed whole by passing Ferocious Beasts before they even woke up.
But more Serious Criminals still managed to awaken successfully.
After waking, every one of them either stared around blankly or pounded their heads, trying to remember something.
This was the first reaction after waking up with one's memories erased.
"Damn it, every single one of them is an actor. I wanted to use their reactions to see which Fake Serious Criminals hadn't had their memories erased. But I watched more than twenty in a row, and every one of them put on a flawless performance without the slightest crack."
"Obviously. Whether they were sent by the Federal Government or by other factions, which one of them isn't the cream of the crop? Knowing we'd be watching, how could they possibly leave any flaws?"
"Luckily, according to the Scanner, aside from varying physical constitutions, none of them have any powerful energy fluctuations in their bodies. Even if there are spies from the Myriad Races among them, they won't threaten Yi Chen's safety even if they get close to him."
"Not to mention that these Serious Criminals were deployed randomly. It'll be hard for them to find an opportunity to approach Yi Chen anytime soon."
"Who knows whether the Scanner results have been faked? As long as the Space Warship doesn't reboot and activate the Anti-Intrusion System, some top hackers can infiltrate the Large Warship's AI Brain and alter the data and scan results."
"The people sent by the Federal Government are among them too, so naturally they won't reboot the AI Brain or activate the Anti-Intrusion System."
"Forget anything else—I saw one newly deployed serious criminal with something clearly hidden at his waist. But the Scanner showed that there was nothing there at all. The visual data had obviously been altered."
The viewers in the live stream room were all deeply worried.
They feared that deploying this batch of Serious Criminals would introduce many uncertain factors into learning the cultivation method Yi Chen had created by imitation.
Of course, some viewers were also hoping that this development would turn in a favorable direction.
