Yi Chen was born into the Green Grass Tribe as the grandson of Nine Star General Yi Tenglong. Sickly from childhood and unable to hunt, he lost his support after his father's death and was expelled by his clansmen. He eventually reached Flame Mountain, surviving in a cave on wild fruit until a severe fever abruptly broke and he regained consciousness. 1
