"But what exactly did Lord Izayoi go off to do?"
Seeing that two of the three members in their alliance had defected, Black Rabbit could only sigh helplessly and voice her confusion.
"Oh, that? I went to find the mastermind."
Izayoi Sakamaki waved a hand and said indifferently, "By coincidence, I found her. She was a blonde vampire loli, and I went soft on her and let her go."
"I knew Lord Izayoi wasn't the type to abandon his companions... A blonde vampire loli? Could it be Senior Leticia????"
Black Rabbit had been smiling happily a moment ago, but then she suddenly realized what he meant and opened her mouth wide in shock.
She rushed up to Izayoi in two strides and hurriedly asked, "Did she have golden hair? Was she very beautiful?"
"Oh? So you know her, Black Rabbit. Perfect timing—I'm going to Thousand Eyes tomorrow to ask White Night Yaksha about the situation. Want to come along?"
"Wait." Hisato Asuka frowned as she listened to the two discuss things she could not understand, cutting in, "What the hell is this blonde loli? What's going on?"
Slay the Invaders
"Senior Leticia was a member of the Community before. She was a powerful Original Demon King. After the Demon King Attack, not only did the Community lose its name and dignity, even Leticia was taken away."
Black Rabbit grew a little sad at that point. Leticia was someone very important to her, someone who had taught her so much. Now that Senior Leticia had been taken away, Black Rabbit did not even have the ability to rescue her.
"If she was a companion, why would she help that Garde?"
Hisato Asuka could not make sense of it. Black Rabbit said this person was a good person, so why would she do something like that?
Izayoi Sakamaki answered her question with another question. "Isn't it simple? Asuka, think about it. If we hadn't come, what would have become of this Community?"
"It wouldn't have been able to hold on, and then... it would have disbanded?"
She thought of when she had first arrived. The children in the Community had worn ragged clothes and lived so frugally that even drinking water had to be rationed.
Hisato Asuka could not help pursing her lips.
"Now you get it, right? She merely wanted to test whether we were qualified to keep the Community going. But now we also have a chance to bring that loli back as a maid... I mean, Combat Power."
"I know this. It's a Gift Game, right? As long as we win the Gift Game, we can obtain ownership of Senior Leticia."
Black Rabbit spoke excitedly, her eyes shining with yearning.
"Just what I'd expect from a rabbit. But..." Izayoi stopped halfway through and turned his gaze toward Hisato Asuka and Kasukabe Yō. "As for that, I'm going to ask White Night Yaksha for information tomorrow. Do you want to come?"
"Although I'd really like to see what the legendary Senior Leticia looks like, someone needs to stay behind and hold down the Community, so I won't be going."
"Same here. Izayoi, Black Rabbit, good luck. We'll go wash up and rest first."
After thinking it over, the two regretfully shook their heads. There were only four people in the entire Community capable of fighting now. As a Moon Rabbit, Black Rabbit could not participate in the Gift Game either, so staying behind was the best choice for them.
"You have to bring that senior back, Izayoi. And then I'll let it slide that you called me by my name."
After saying that, Hisato Asuka turned and left. Kasukabe Yō giggled and followed after her.
"Tch, didn't you call me by my name too?"
He grumbled without much concern, patted Black Rabbit's ears, and headed toward his own room.
And so, the matter was settled.
But Izayoi Sakamaki knew that it would never be so simple.
Still, wouldn't that make it more interesting?
The moment he closed his eyes, Izayoi seemed to sense something. He abruptly opened them again, feeling wave after wave of strange presences surging toward the Nameless Community.
"Can't get a moment's peace day after day. Tomorrow, I'll have to ask whether White Night Yaksha has enough influence in Thousand Eyes."
Frowning in annoyance, Izayoi flipped through the air and landed before the Community gate, lazily stretching.
"Why are you all here too?"
Suddenly, Izayoi raised an eyebrow and looked at Black Rabbit, Asuka, and the others who had come outside.
"Because Lord Izayoi suddenly smashed a huge hole into the Community. We came to see what was going on."
Black Rabbit arrived first and complained at Izayoi's innocent expression.
"Perfect timing. A few fools who don't know their own limits have probably come to die. This time, just be good spectators."
With a wave of his hand, he directly cut off their thoughts of helping and turned his gaze toward the horizon.
A black-red pillar of light descended from the sky. Wherever it shone upon the ground, the dry soil rapidly turned into white grains of salt.
"That's... Gorgon's Authority? Get out of the way! If it hits you..."
The well-informed Black Rabbit quickly recognized the nature of the beam and shouted at Izayoi before her.
But Izayoi did not move even half an inch. He watched the descending beam with interest. "Tsk, tsk. At that speed, who could it possibly hit?"
With that, Izayoi Sakamaki clenched his fist and punched directly at the pillar of light.
Gift of Gifts, which shattered Gifts, activated in an instant. As Gorgon's Gaze, it was itself a Gift, though people called it a curse.
Overwhelming force traveled through his fist and struck the insubstantial gaze. Black Rabbit instinctively closed her eyes, but the next moment, she heard a cry of alarm.
"The beam... it was shattered by a punch?? Is he really human?"
Under Izayoi Sakamaki's fist, the beam instantly collapsed and turned into countless motes of light.
Against the backdrop of the night sky, it was exceptionally beautiful.
"Thanks for the Fireworks, everyone. Got anything else to send me?"
Cracking his knuckles with crisp pops, Izayoi looked mockingly at the several dozen people flying in from the horizon.
They wore winged shoes and helmets bearing snake-shaped emblems as they arrogantly flew toward them.
Though their speed... was only a little faster than an ordinary person from Hakoniwa could run.
"Gorgon's Head and winged shoes—it's Community Perseus!"
How to Become a Demon King
"Perseus? It really is exactly like the legends. But I didn't know these things were mass-produced."
Looking at the shoes and helmets everyone carried, Hisato Asuka somehow did not feel nervous at all and instead began to complain.
Perhaps Izayoi's overwhelming strength gave her a sense of security.
"Nameless, is it?"
The man at the head looked down at them and asked impatiently.
Though it was phrased as a question, his tone left no room for doubt.
Without waiting for Izayoi and the others to answer, they drew bows and spears, aimed at them, and launched their attack.
Even as they attacked, they did not forget to complain to their companions. "Who knows what the boss is thinking? He actually sent us to wipe out a Community that doesn't even have a name."
"Who knows? Let's finish this and go back to rest."
"Rest? You'll be resting very soon."
Beneath the rain of arrows, Izayoi merely threw a punch from afar.
Incomparable speed and savage force stirred the surrounding air, forming a fierce gale of fist force that swept toward them.
The arrow rain was scattered by the fist wind. Not only did the arrows fail to slow it down in the slightest, they instead increased its power.
The fist wind, mixed with arrows, swept toward the people of Perseus. Only then did they understand what kind of person they were facing.
He was absolutely a powerhouse above the Five-digit level.
In their final moments, their minds held nothing but fear of that power before their corpses fell from the sky.
"Oh! What a harvest. Killing monsters really does make equipment drop."
After casually finishing that punch, Izayoi grinned at the people behind him. "All right, spectators, use your Gifts to collect all that stuff."
"Understood."
Kasukabe Yō made cooing sounds toward the sky, and a flock of birds and several cats emerged from the forest, gathering before her.
"My friends, please help me bring back those winged shoes and snake-emblazoned helmets."
The animals immediately scattered, searching for the Gift weapons scattered throughout the forest.
"Then I'll leave the Community in your care. Black Rabbit and I are going to take a look at Thousand Eyes."
A cold glint flashed through Izayoi's eyes. He was genuinely getting impatient.
He had originally planned to deal with it tomorrow morning, but he had not expected the other side to be unable to wait even one night.
Then there was no need for him to hold back anymore.
He just did not know whether White Night Yaksha had enough influence to suppress this matter.
"Then we'll leave it to you."
Hisato Asuka glanced back at the Community buildings and nodded seriously.
"Lord Izayoi, please don't be so violent later. After all, they're one of Thousand Eyes' many Communities."
On the way to Thousand Eyes, Black Rabbit worriedly reminded Izayoi.
Izayoi merely glanced at her. "No, you're the one who needs to hold back."
"Wh... what do you mean?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
Before long, the two arrived at a Thousand Eyes branch and successfully met White Night Yaksha.
"You really did come. Come in. And while we're at it, even though I have some ability, there are some things I still can't do much about."
White Night Yaksha stood at the entrance in her iconic kimono, as though she had already known the two would come.
"Hah? Even the Demon King of White Night has things she can't handle? Hahaha, then you'd better take some supplements."
Izayoi did not take it seriously. Laughing loudly, he patted White Night Yaksha on the shoulder and swaggered inside.
"Sigh, forget it. I'll do my best."
White Night Yaksha was all too familiar with Izayoi's attitude just now. Hadn't she been the same way once?
The group entered the same private room as before. Sitting opposite them was the young man who had inherited the name Perseus.
He looked frivolously at Black Rabbit beside Izayoi and said in disbelief, "How wonderful. I never expected to encounter a Moon Rabbit even in the outermost levels."
"This is practically God's masterpiece."
"Why not join our Community? We'll provide three meals a day and a Gift necklace. We definitely won't treat you badly."
Black Rabbit's veins bulged at those words, but for Senior Leticia's sake, she had no choice but to endure them.
"I refuse. Black Rabbit's legs and tail belong to me. You aren't qualified to touch them."
"That's right, Black Rabbit's legs and tail belong to Izayoi... No, that's not it! Black Rabbit belongs to Black Rabbit!"
Hearing Izayoi speak up for her, Black Rabbit repeated his words without thinking. Then she suddenly realized something was wrong and hurriedly corrected herself.
"Fine then, Izayoi. At the price we agreed on last time, I'll buy Black Rabbit's legs!"
As a seasoned pervert, how could White Night Yaksha let such an opportunity pass? She approached Izayoi with a solemn expression and made her declaration.
"Absolutely not. Black Rabbit's legs are my treasure."
Black Rabbit: ...
We came here to bring back our companion. Can you two be a little more serious?!
Three Types of Organizer Authority
This was a little bad. White Night Yaksha opened and closed her Folding Fan, narrowing her eyes as she watched the two sides face off.
Though the atmosphere appeared harmonious for now, she could sense the anger Izayoi Sakamaki was hiding deep inside.
