Background / History

Black Rabbit summoned Izayoi Sakamaki, Hisato Asuka, and Kasukabe Yō to Little Garden to restore Nameless’s fortunes. Nervous about the volatile newcomers, she initially hid in the bushes before revealing herself as a proud member of the Moon Rabbit clan and explaining Little Garden’s Gift Games. When the trio threatened to divide her up, she disclosed that she had summoned them. 7

Nameless had been struggling severely: its members had to transport water from hundreds of kilometers away. Izayoi’s Water Sapling gave the community a dependable water source and renewed Black Rabbit’s hope for its future. 10 12

She was deeply committed to rescuing Leticia, her senior. Though unable to participate in the Gift Game herself, she accompanied Izayoi while he investigated Perseus; Izayoi ultimately destroyed the community and freed Leticia. 16 19

Black Rabbit’s childhood was shaped by the destruction of Moon Shadow City. During her escape from the burning city, her parents remained behind to protect her. A two-headed serpent nearly killed her before the Sun-Taming Lion, Leticia, and Canary intervened. The event remained a recurring nightmare and a source of suppressed sadness. 133 165

After Canary’s resurrection, Black Rabbit was overwhelmed by their reunion. Canary’s return also gave Black Rabbit a renewed desire to demonstrate her growth through Gift Games. 71 88
