Thor came over, laughing, and hugged Tao Yu.
He had brought Sif and five hundred of Asgard's finest warriors to visit the Chitauri's homeworld.
The Chitauri followed Thanos and had powerful backing of their own.
But when faced with Asgardians at their doorstep, they could only swallow their anger.
Three of their motherships had vanished without a sound earlier, and the pressure that put on them was immense.
The reputation Odin had forged through battle still endured.
But Thor hadn't expected that, after going out for a stroll to remind everyone that Asgard existed and discourage anyone from provoking it again, he'd find Tao Yu had already brought Thanos into the fold!
This was a genuine power in his own right!
Though Thor didn't think he could stand shoulder to shoulder with his father, the All-Father, Thanos was certainly someone worthy of a conversation.
"Mr. Thanos is a partner. People have quite a few misconceptions about him."
Tao Yu spoke casually.
Thanos hadn't submitted to him. Their goals simply happened to align for now, and Thanos was staying by his side partly to keep an eye on him.
When it came to indifference toward life, Thanos certainly qualified.
For years, he'd diligently slaughtered countless races across the universe, leaving half the population dead wherever he went. Those who knew his reputation could have nightmares just thinking about him.
But as far as his motives went, Thanos was a textbook savior-villain.
He didn't care about being misunderstood. He believed he was doing the right thing, and his ultimate goal was to make the world a better place.
That was precisely why he'd changed his mind, shifting his goal in collecting
