As Ego's planet continued to crumble amid the shock waves of the explosions, Tao Yu spoke at just the right moment from the bridge.

"Have you confirmed that he joined the Abyss?"

Thanos looked somewhat stunned. You'd struck so suddenly!

Thanos asked with some uncertainty.

Tao Yu gave no clear answer, then looked at the screen.

"Look at those energy tendrils. That's a form the Abyss often takes."

Amid the blazing light of the planet's destruction, the blue energy tendrils that made up Ego's true body had already spread across the world. They, too, were crumbling amid the brilliant explosions.

Then Tao Yu's Limbo clone plunged into the planet with its energy sword and struck the core of the true body, shaped like a gigantic brain.

All the tendrils seemed to have suffered a fatal blow. When the energy blade pierced the brain, they stiffened, then went limp.
